Fight with the Captain of the Guard in Novigrad:
Captain appears to be bugged, when I take a swing at him he dodges out of the ring, and stays out there. If I pull back to the far side of the he moves off the other way (even further out). Looks like he's stuck in a blocking position which might explain why he moves back/away and doesn't return to the ring. I saved the game just before talking to the bookie. I'll hold on this fight TFN.
 
I'm liking this list, Garthand, and you're doing good work. Reminder to all: Remember to let CDPR know when you find bugs, ( there is a link in my sig) and try to send them as many as you can all at once, by Dev request.

This bug has come up for a few people, the "flat water bug" I created another post with this, but thought it apt to place it in this thread as well.

I have an i5 4690k with an r9 290 asus Direct CU GPU and 8GB ram, Windows 7 64bit and 15.5 Beta drivers for my GPU using the Steam version of 1.05 Witcher 3.


I have seen this issue in the Steam Forums as well, the water appears very flat without any tesselation or waves like the pictures attached, this happens in both velen/novigrad and skellige and occurs in the sea as well as lakes and ponds. This can be fixed by meditating by the water for at least 3 hours, then the tesselation and texture returns to the water.


Exiting the game does not fix it, only meditating, and it appears to fix it sometimes for just a while, if you fast travel somewhere you will have to meditate again near water to fix it, the issue also reappears once you exit the game to windows and restart the game.


I love the water in this game with the waves and tesselation.

Thank you! I've run into similar issues with enemy NPCs despawning after reloading, which can obviously break quests and locations.

Thanks for bringing this up, I've run into a similar issue except I was the one that accidentally dodged out of the ring and got stuck haha. Adding it to the list!

A catastrophic bug in the main quest “Get Junior”

In the steam forum are a lot complain about this bug too.

Many players can not continue playing because of this bug.

Some more info on the Vernon Roche / Get Junior bug that makes continuing the story impossible.

Quest: Get Junior
Quest state: Talk to Vernon Roche in the partisan camp
Glitch: There is supposed to be a cutscene upon entering the cave (with the camp) for the first time. This cutscene never plays. Instead, the player can walk straight into the cave and to Roche (who stands by the fire), but cannot interact with him in any way. There is no way to continue the quest and the player's progress with the story will stop there.

1) Many people have reported they discovered and entered the cave before receiving the quest. This might be a possible cause.

2) Some people reported they didn't enter the cave through the front entrance, but from the top - either by carefully jumping down the cliffs or with a high jump + roll after the fall to prevent fall damage and death. As we know, the game expects the player to enter the cave through the front entrance, as this triggers a cutscene. Could it be that reaching Roche before the cave entrance and cutscene messes up the game scripts?

In any case, the end result is that after this there is no way to ever talk to Roche anymore. The cutscene will never trigger, no matter how much you fast travel around, meditate or push him with your horse etc.

Most players probably just continue with other main and side quests at this point, only to come back later and realise they can now never complete the story. Which leads to another question: even if CDPR fixes the glitch from happening with NEW games, HOW do you fix OLD saves? How will you trigger the missed cutscene or get Roche to talk to you? Can CDPR provide us with some mod or a debug console command to get past this broken state in the old save files? For most of us, reverting back to an old save is not possible. The save before the bug appeared might be 50 hours back or even overwritten by now.

Does this mean that until now you didn't know about it? The thread started on the 29th of last month it has been almost 2 weeks and you just now see it ? If no one checks the forum on your side why do you even have a Tech Support? Even the shitty support at EA or Ubisoft at least say that they will look into it (even if most of the time they don't).

Crafting Bugs
Geralt is only able to craft a single red or greater red mutagen. After crafting it, it says you already have this item, (effectively treating it like a potion recipe).

I hate to be a nitpicker but it is not just red mutagens, it is any alchemy item that you have already created and have in inventory. (All mutagen colors, ingredients such as albedo, white gull etc)

Basically the bug is treating all of alchemy as oils and potions are treated.

You're at the Axii them all stage I'm guessing. All you gotta do is charm them with axii to get them to assemble at the windmill.

I don't work for CDPR. I just made this thread and a mod was kind enough to sticky it. CDPR probably does have people who read these threads, employees have a RED flair that shows up next to their username. So no, I wasn't aware of the bug because I didn't experience it in my own game.

If you really want to make sure a bug gets noticed, report it here. I'm just trying to provide some organization here since it can be hard to find out who has experienced what bug by searching through the forums.

I have this bug on my NVIDIA card. It's start happening after patch 1.05. Even the slider in the graphics option that controls water, when bug occurs, is not working, you can change from low to ultra without any change in the game.
 
Add these two as well please.
-The abandoned site in White Orchard cannot be cleansed of monsters/humans
-The quest in Honeyfill Meadworks given by the old lady cannot be activated. When I try and talk to her it's as if I was talking to normal NPC.

I'm pretty sure I was able to clear all the abandoned sites in White Orchard, can you locate it on this map and post the link? As you zoom and scroll on the map it'll update the URL so I can see the spot you're talking about.

Hi. I just find Infinite gold bug. It's happened when i catch gold and reload save game; gold just retern in chest. It's in Vizima town, old castl. Proof in video:

-South east by Candyle in Velen, bandit camp cannot be discover as I cannot loot the chest.

The first bug is for people who cleared the are before the quest with that ghost in the well.
The second one cannot be activated as said and yes there is a !.
The last one doesn't give me option to loot anything as it already is or it's just like that.

In the "Family Matters" quest I took the key named "Rusty key" which i found in Tamara's Room and explored the house where I found the door in the cellar which was closed and opened with the key. Right after that I walked back into Tamara's Room where the key was spawned. The problem is that the key is a quest item and can not be removed since the door is unlocked.

Second bug
In the "Forefather's eve" quest after I i burned the corps of Pellar's father i saved right beside the burned corps, loaded and the corps was back again while the quest said that he was burned.

In Skellige, is it normal to encounter the same Cyclops over and over after meditating? Encountered spawned mobs where Tyrion died over and over hence money exploit, not that big though but still you can do that over and over, fight them through the ruined fort then to the dock back and forth.
