Bug with Inn at Outskirts of Vizima

Hello -

I bought this years ago on GOG, and I am finally getting around to playing it.

After a certain amount of time in the Inn, the game crashes and dumps me to my desktop.
If I fight a couple of people, it crashes.
If I talk to the Inn keeper, after a few questions, it crashes.
If I talk to the bar maid, after a while it crashes.

For some reason, the inn is causing me to crash.

Here's my specs:
Win 10 - 64 bit
i9-7980XE
(I have changed the core count for the game from 18 cores / 36 threads down to 10 cores / 20 threads.)
I'm using a nVidia 980TI with the latest drivers.
The game resides on my E: drive. That's where I'm putting different games and such.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Please Repair/Verify the game via GOG galaxy.

Also keep in mind that GeForce Experience lets you optimize the settings for The Witcher 3. That can be helpful too.

Hello -

I am actually Witcher 1 - Extended Edition.
I don't use GOG Galaxy and when I clicked on GeForce Experience, it didn't recognize the game.

There's something happening in the Inn but I am not sure why it's kicking me out of the game.

Try running the gamut with these suggestions:

Also, be sure the game is installed to the root of your drive or a folder of your own creation on the root. For example: C:\The Witcher - Enhanced Edition\... or C:\MyRPGgames\The Witcher\...

Installing games to Program Files or Program Files(x86), or any other protected directory, can be problematic.
