[BUG][X1][1.04] Strange Runestone/Glyph behavior

I've noticed that not all runestones or glyphs of the same type stack, and not all lesser/regular runestones/glyphs are useable in the crafting pane for upgrading them.
Example:
I had 2 piles of lesser Chernoborg runestones, for a total of 16 lesser Chernoborg runestones. When I entered the crafting menu via a master level artisan, and tried making a Chernoborg runestone (out of 2 lessers), I was told I was missing ingredients, and that the game only detected the smallest pile of lesser Cherboborg runestones (which only contained 1 stone).
This "glitch" affected almost all my glyphs and runestones -- ie the game wouldn't let me combine over 90% of my runes and glyphs.
Side note: Probably intended behavior, but the Chernoborg runestones fit in armor (I thought glyphs were for armor and runestones for weapons...)
