Not sure if I understood it right, but it seems the OP might have been referring to the possibility of playing as two classes, but not at the same time (e.g. solo during the day, netrunner at night). If it is actually only about hybrid "jack of all trades" builds, those will of course very likely be a possibility, but with some incentive to specialize. Like in TW3 where the higher level skills can be unlocked only if you have enough points in that "class" (combat/signs/alchemy).

But you can still just pickup a gun and shot people, I just won't be able to do so as better as a pure solo would. But you can hack/tech/sneak your way past many obstacles, something a solo wouldn't be able to do as easily or at all. You're not forced to become death incarnate (taking solo skills/cybernetics) to be able to put a bullet between someones eyes.

True enough. My initial point was that I hope CDPR doesn't make it so that you can become uber-solo-runner the way you see multi-classing devolve into in many games.

I like the theory that the jack of all trade is the master of none. We can delve into multiple classes in cyberpunk but we cant max out of one class bcz most of the skill points are spread randomly into different skill tree instead concentrated in one particular skill. This means more classes you have, the less likely that you are can be strongest Solo/Corporate/Fixer/Netrunner/Techies/etc. in Night City. If so, I am worry how CDPR going to solve this problem that might ruin the players experience in their first run of the game.

Playing as Solo to efficiently kill multiple enemy is very tempting to me. But since there are multiple genre out there that follow this gameplay are oversaturated in the market, i hope Fixer might be a good change of pace from all the gore and the violent and focus more on diplomatic skill and negotiation (Game of Throne style). But I am curious to see how do you make TRADING with NPC/AI interesting? Can player play as Fixer in the game and post out Contract/Mission for NPC/AI to take up? But I want to know your take on the class, what do you think Fixer role in CP2077? Are you hype to play as Fixer?

There is no fixer class. there are no any of the classes. it's a background option at best.

I'm interested in them being in the game (all the other roles too), but as far ask getting to play as one, I think that ship has sailed. It's been confirmed there are NPCs in the game who are fixers, but the PC will not be. Fixers and several other classes (Corporate, Rockerboy, Media) would be hard to represent as mechanically distinct classes in a cRPG.

Awwwwwwww....... that is sad. I hope CDPR might change their mind during their development or release a DLC that introduce a new class into the game at a later date. Man, I really do want to play as a Fixer in this game so badly.

As I understood from what the journalists said, there will be the Solo tree - raw fighting skill, Techie - skill at messing with gadgets and, I speculate, the spiderbot and Netrunner - hacking skill.

I recall hearing a CDPR guy say in an interview that all classes "are featured in the game" and it's possible that some kind of perks may be gained by working with Cops, Rockerboys, Medias, Corporates, the occasional Nomad and of course, Fixers.

However, the Fixer has a full-time job of being an information broker and generally hires mercs to do his dirty work, he usually avoids heavy combat, so including Fixer as a playable class in 2077 would result in a totally different game.

But don't exclude PC mods, people are creative.

Fixer in a single player game is hard to represent. However in the multi-player side it could be quite interesting to build up a character that brokers deals, but you would have to work closely with a lot of other players and the time commitment might be prohibitive.

Fixer is the NPC you go to for information/guns/armor. its not a role you actually play in a video game.

I know one of the things many people like about Fallout 4/Skyrim is the fact that you can "do it all".
I'm afraid I'm not a real fan of such a system.

IMHO being able to "do it all" stifles, rather then enhances, creativity. There's really no need for alternative methods to resolve things, just wait a bit and you'll have the "skills" necessary to use the pre-defined "solution".

There will be three ‘classes’ (3) and three skill trees (we can assume). All indications are there will be some measure of pick and choose among these three (3). How much or little you do this will be your choice.

As of yet none of the other classes from 2020 are being fully included yet, by current indications.

I hope Fixer will just selling weapon and information to NPC/AI. (like playing Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale game). You can farm or loot weapon/info from random enemy and then sell it into the market for a better price. This mechanic is similar to the "Street Deal" from the cyberpunk 2020 P&P game. Hopefully we can get more money to buy more property, cars, weapon, consumable, fashion and crafting item(if there is any). I know it is impossible for the player who play as Fixer to create random quest for AI/NPC.

Anyway, this is my idea on how a Fixer class is going to work in the game. But dont bother with it, I can just look forward for game Moonlighter.

I don't even understand what the difference between netrunner and techie is supposed to be. I mean... they both sound like "technology experts". Can someone explain what differentiates these 2 classes?

Netrunner is a programmer, Techie is an engineer.
