Buy The Witcher: Enhanced Edition - Director's Cut

Should i buy The Witcher: Enhanced Edition - Director's Cut ar just The Witcher: Enhanced Edition? I thinking to buy it on digital store. But what new have Director's Cut? It is better than Enhanced Edition? What different between them, Enhanced Edition and Director's Cut Edition? Or it is same? Thanks for comments.

I'd say that depending on how close the prices are, you might aswell get the directors cut version. A price difference of a few dollars is not important in the long run, realistically.

So, if i buy Enhanced Edition - Director's Cut i don't need to downlaod any new patches, because the game is already patched or not? And what new content have Director's Cut edition?

the directors cut has the 1.5 patch on the disc + it uncensors the game content which really just amounts to some models like bruxa/alps/dryads being proper and some changes to most of the sex cards.

When you buy the Enhanced Edition - Director's Cut, you have the latest version of the game incl. all patches plus the changes InfernoX3470 mentioned, which was denied to American players.

I purchased the Witcher EE from Impulse (Stardock), so updates are automatic. I received the Director's Cut update as soon as it was available.

Yeah definitely, it's important to note that you can still get the directors cut content for free if you buy EE. I got it off of steam no issue myself.

I bought the original version of the game and have updated to 1.5 (after some battles with the login process!) Is there a way for me to get the Director's Cut for for free? (Legal solutions only. I'm not interested in screwing CD Projekt over because they are a great company I will support with my dollars!)

You can move your saved games to make sure they're safe, but Original Edition games aren't guaranteed to work with the Enhanced Edition, so you might want to finish the game using the original edition. This game is rare in being worth playing several times, so you can still play the game again, once you get the new edition.

Originally when I discovered that I was playing the censored version of The Witcher I was OK with it because I thought it was just gore and nudity....but then I learned that a TON of the dialogue and voiceovers had been cut away and that I was essentially playing an incomplete game.So I looked it up and found the director's cut release and applied the patch. However, reading the FAQ it only mentions restoring the gore and nudity, nothing about dialogue or voiceovers. And looking at the patch as it applied, all I saw were .bik files being applied (though I could have missed something easily).Am I actually getting censored dialogue CONTENT back or just sexy sex cards?

The dialogue in the English version of the original Witcher was shortened because someone told CDPR that English-speaking players didn't like long dialogue; this is separate from -- and unrelated to -- the toned-down sex cards and blood. The dialogue was lenghtened in the Enhanced Edition, so if you want the fullest dialogue, you want the EE. If you've got that, then you've got all the dialogue. The Director's Cut brought back the regular version of the sex cards and blood. It didn't do anything to the dialogue because the EE had already done that.

Ugh. How frustrating.. but if there's really no way to get the dialogue back, so be it! Thank you.

The dialogue you've linked to IS in the EE, so the longer dialogue you want is already present.

Horray! ;D I didn't know that, I haven't even gotten to that dialogue yet. Only in chapter 2 8) but I want to make sure the game is the best it can be before I continue.
