Call Vehicle Bugs

+
I had a look to see if this was a topic being discussed but couldn't find anything. I'm on a PS5 with all the latest updates to the system and Cyberpunk 2077.

The issue I'm having is that very often when I call the vehicle, I'll experience one of several types of bugs which seem to have no trigger or correlation to anything I've done or am doing or location or anything I can determine.

The most common one is that as soon as I get into the vehicle, it 'teleports' either a short or sometimes even long distance. If it's a short distance it's almost instantaneous and I'm generally left slamming on the brakes and having to avoid crashing or killing civilians which, in many cases, is pretty much impossible. If it's a long distance, it will literally bring up a loading screen and I'll find myself in the vehicle at some random location. I've been teleported into the literal ocean, onto beaches, into buildings. Once I was teleported and began just falling through the world in a continuous loop of falling, loading screen, falling, loading screen, etc. until I had to force quit the game.

Another common issue which is often accompanied by the teleportation, is being run over by the vehicle when walking to it. It's like the game considers the vehicle to be in a completely different location to where it's depicted and also in a moving state.

The least common is simply the vehicle 'dropping' with such force that it suffers so much damage that I'll have to pay to repair it.

This has happened across several new characters so I'm assuming it's something that must be pretty common to other players experiences as, again, I have no idea what I could possibly be doing to cause any of this.

First question, as always:

Are you using any mods, or have you ever used any in the past?

He mentioned being on a PS5 console, so no mods I take it.

Nunnya, you're not the only one experiencing these vehicle related bugs, unfortunately.
I too experienced the same exact ones you've described, multiple times over since patch 2.3 dropped (and remains prevalent in 2.31).

From the car (with me in it) teleporting violently to another side of the block right after I hop in, to (on rare occasions) my car preventing me from getting in, because it registers as an impact (basically the same when a car hits you right?). Some times, I'll even fall through the map on a loop, until I reload my game.

Also calling my damaged vehicle to refresh it's state, will arrive damaged regardless. A work around would be to call a different vehicle first, then the vehicle you've driven before. That seems to work for me.

Unfortunately patch 2.3 reintroduced a lot of bugs into the fray, which stem from earlier builds of Cyberpunk 2077 (dating back to 2.0 and maybe even earlier builds). When I say "a lot of bugs", I mean a lot.
I have been keeping records of each pass and I am nearly complete with my 2.31 full test run. I have now well over a dozen screen shots with notes of problems not part of the core design, to submit to tech support in order to help them find and squash these immersion breaking annoyances in future patch updates.

Patch 2.2 and 2.1 (also by Virtuos) performed buttery smooth for me. Hardly any problems at all, in fact. But 2.3 (and 2.31) are unfortunately marred with these issues. Various quest bugs that need reloading, some of which you'll just have to power through.
I only play 100% vanilla on PC as well.

Please take the time to submit your tech problems to tech support and if you have any clips or images, be sure to attach them as well. That's what I'm preparing to do next week. I should be done with my 2.31 full run then.

Here's the link to tech support. :)

Hang in there! I'm sure they'll sort out these issues in future updates. (hopefully sooner than later)

I wanted to post a video here but couldn't since I have to host it elsewhere. I actually think I might have some idea of a possible cause as well. If I leave my vehicle anywhere else other than on the road, the teleportation issue seems to happen more often. Like, I park a bike on a sidewalk, go off and do stuff, use a Fast Travel option, summon the bike and there'll be some weird teleportation thing happen.

Lol, just had a weird string of them happen. Here's the end result:

I would recommend reaching out to CDPR Support:
(after reading the short article you can click on Contact us to send a ticket to support)

Other than powercycling the console …

(1. Power down your console. Do not enter Rest Mode.
2. Wait for the lights on your PlayStation to turn off completely and unplug the power cable.
3. Wait minimum 2 minutes.
4. Plug the power cable back into PlayStation and turn the console on.)

… or loading a save game before the issue started to happen, there is not much you can actually do on console.

Fix:
Summon cars on flat, open ground.
Switch vehicles or fast-travel to reset.
Rebuild PS5 database.
Report it to CDPR support — they’re tracking this issue.

I do feel they have become worse with recent patches to the PS5 version. Maybe the adjustments to auto drive caused this to happen.
