Can We Expect Sex/Romance Scenes? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

+
I expect to be able to buy a fully customizable sexbot, to obey my every command. Just for being in the future.
RED creating actual sex scenes with such a thing I don't care for, would be somewhat amusing though. (mybe leave that for the modders)

Don't care much for sex scenes, but if there's going to be (optional) romantic interests in the game, they should be done exceptionally well, with a sense of progression to it that's more than "You gave [XYZ] person a gift, +15 points!". I'd like it to be believable, rather than love/infatuation at first sight. All the same, I could do just fine without it. In fact, I'd prefer there be no romance at all in the game if the devs can't spare enough time and effort to make it memorable (for all the right reasons).

Sex is part of the Cyberpunk universe as well... And must be potrayed since there also implants in the pen and paper for that.. Some of them are even designed not only for sex performance but also for assassinate the partner....

Last thing we need is a politically correct cyberpunk...

I can't say that I would really care even if they put straight up porn on screen if for some reason the situation called for it (not asking for it, I just don't really care all that much), but what's annoying are the attempts at interactive romance and being sensual both of which always end up looking and sounding awkward and inane and offputting.

The sex & nudity has pretty much become a signature thing of CDPR so yeah you can bet your ass there is gonna be sex & nudity in Cyberpunk 2077 which is awesome for me cause I appreciate T&A in my entertainment, tasteful or gratuitous, also just like in Witcher 3 there will be plenty of room in the massive game for both gratuitous and tasteful sex & nudity since Cyberpunk is said to be "bigger" than Witcher 3 and given the fact that CDPR are role model developers, they're gonna put a lot of effort into everything, including their signature dance with no pants scenes.

I also hope there is good romance options in Cyberpunk cause I like romance stories in my games.
Though they're gonna have to create a lot more options cause if we create our own character then there will have to be male & female romance options, as well as gay romances too, also cyber romances if that's the player's thing.

I really like the idea of an STD side quest though, it'll be a good laugh, not to mention that will offer plenty of laughs when Conan O'Brian goes through 50+ STD treatment augmentations when he reviews the game lol.

Because we're already assuming he will do a Clueless Gamer on it. Every once in a while I revisit the one for the Witcher, which got pretty good PR from it (as for how much PR, I wouldn't know and I wouldn't think it was too much, but good), and it managed to end up probably the most positively received game in the show (see the FFXV Clueless Gamer controversy for a comparison).

It's not like CDPR never did similar quest before.. Yeah, I'm talking about that tatoo quest from The Witcher 2.

I don't really see comparisons really, Can't see them doing this kind of quest you are suggesting and thats good

The premise and goal are similar - player herochar gets a "present" he'd like to dispose of after a stormy night with whores.

WE NEED A STD QUEST IN CP2077. Whores in games are pretty much uninteresting and uninteractive, after all. (let's not count mods for Skyrim this time)

I just hope they learn from the Witcher 3 in the sense that romance in the game means nothing if you run out of content for said romance 10 mins after achieving it.

This applies to any NPC follower.
Far to often you wind up with the same 2-3 lines of dialog over-and-over to the point you get so sick of hearing it you leave them home.

While followers don't need tons of dialog they certainly should have enough they occasionally make reference to your current quest/mission and their dialog alters depending on your relationship. It really annoys me when you going along and suddenly you hit that magic threshold where they either love or hate you and you had no clue your relationship with them was even altering for the better/worse.

"Well Character, we've been travelling and fighting together for some time now but that empty tin can you just stole is the last straw. I hate you and am leaving/attacking you."

Exactly this as well, updating how a character is feeling towards you is a step that games need to take other than a little text box at the top "So and So Agrees/Disproves" (looking at you DA:I and Fallout 4) just a little "Look I'm worried you're becoming someone I can't follow, you need to get your shit together and stop doing this" real living dynamic characters is the next step for games and I know its hard because voice acting is expensive, but the first game to truly capture it and combine it with a solid story and game play will set the gold standard and hit legend status.

Hoping to see a variety of options. Go for the hookers with the animism mods, lizard skin jobs, light jobs, chick with six breasts. Break the mold.

Hey first time poster here,

I'm definitely of a person who plays RPGs less for the combat and gaming than the story so I consider romance to be one of the biggest elements to have in any major game. I think Geralt was probably my favorite of all romances period (save Adam Jensen and Megan Reed/OUCH) because he was such a developed character. It wasn't just the character having "boinking" whatever Reddit and others think but the fact I felt the romance made the characters feel more three dimensional and interesting.

Love is one of the most inherent parts of the human condition and so is sex. Including both and differentiating the two will work well I think for making the world feel more authentic as well as the characters more personable. Geralt, Triss, and Yennefer's relationships really made the characters stand out and I hope we're able to have something equally as powerful for the CyberProtag.

So, yes, request wise I'd like three kinds of romances in the game.

* Actual romances between major characters and the CyberProtag,
* The chance for one night stands as part of the sleazy/cyberpunk noir atmosphere.
* At least one hook up where you're betrayed because that's how noir rolls.

I'm curious how CDPR is doing in romancing NPCs follower. I was somehow a bit disappointed from Geralt and Triss and absolutely from Yen. The scenes and dialogs with Triss were quite good but in the end I missed something at the end of TW2 and in the beginning of TW3 especially when you did all the romantic stuff with Triss in TW2 and also saved her in the final chapter.
And Yen was a great disappointment, their reunion and also all the dialogs etc.

But in Cyberpunk there are no predefined characters so it is easier for CDPR I think, they have much more freedom. I hope they'll do a good work.

And I definitely expect brothels, even I don't visit them beside quests, it has something to do with immersion. There is no big city without a brothel.

The game took over to break you up so you would search for Yennefer.

I actually really really liked it BECAUSE it was awkward and uncomfortable because too many romances are kind of like Leliana from Dragon Age. She's sweet and charming and you all get along when really romance is usually considerably rockier.

And I definitely expect brothels, even I don't visit them beside quests, it has something to do with immersion. There is no big city without a brothel.

I fully expect a moment where a cybered-up stripper goes psycho because why wouldn't it? Perfect Bladerunner homage.

There should obviously be prostitutes that are unique to the setting (body mods, cyber gear..etc), future porn(VR, SIM, etc) entertainment, like to see multiple paths or romance and just plain hookups. I mean, people go to clubs, bars, online to meet people in real life all the time. Sometimes it just for sex, other times its for love, the future will not change that, in fact in such a dark place as cyberpunk 2077, it probably happens a lot more often. These actions could have interesting consequences later on, someone you randomly hooked up with ended up dead later (suicide? Murder?) and the police think you had something to do with it, The SO of someone you are with comes after you later in the game, maybe that prostitute you were with recorded everything and threatens to blackmail you, someone you slept with took it to mean more than a one night stand and is stalking you, one of your dangerous clients wife/daughter is putting the moves on you but if you follow through you know it will end with someone being dead,..etc. Also, I always wanted a game where you could use seduction as sort of a james bond character. Where you seduc/sleep with characters (friends, enemies, wives/gf of enemies) etc to help you out, give you info, backstab their SO..etc After all, seduction is a skill in cyberpunk 2020 and I hope its in the game and can be used. I do agree that ALL NPC's need a lot more depth. Not just your companions, but just random NPC's need to have their own lives, goals and stories and not just repeat the same lines and do the same actions.
