I don't believe this has been addressed before. And, speaking as a player with a very slow Internet connection, I'm also rather concerned about these questions.@Burza46 , or @Marcin Momot , could either of you perhaps share some insights, please? Thanks.

No pre-load. However there will be a rather big patch before the expansion pack drops.

There was no retail disc because they wanted to be able work on it until the very last minute to ensure quality. This is also probably the reason why there is no pre-load for this expansion.
