Can you change your appearance after the initial character customization?

I feel they spent too much time trying to squeeze it onto old outdated consoles and as a result, we have a game that's not quite finished. I supposed after 7 years of development it gets hard not to fall for the sunk cost fallacy.

No you cannot but do not fret, despite the tagline that "In cyberpunk how your character looks matters" it does not in fact matter at all. Maybe it matters to you and it does to me also but it doesn't matter to the game and you will only experience what "your" character looks like when you stop playing the game and pause it.

Ah. The joys of complete and total failure.

Hey all, FYI just saw woodbricks over on nexus made a mod / instructions on how to edit hairstyles via a Hex Editor, Females only for now unless you can guess/get the male styles' list:

Nexus Mods - In-Game Haircuts
291-1608347201-1969052915.jpeg

Instructions:
Locate your sav.dat save file you would like to modify. Location should be
C:\Users\"USERNAME"\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077
  1. !! MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR sav.dat FILE !!
  2. Download and install a Hex editing program such as HxD (site here*) *The rest of the instructions are based on HxD. Other hex editing programs may work differently
  3. Start HxD and drag the sav.dat file to the program window or choose file > open > "browse to your sav.dat file"
  4. Using the included Female_Hairstyles.txt as reference, locate your current hair style string using Find(ctrl+f) > Hex-values > "hairstyle string here" For example: If you created your character with hairstyle # 21: Find(ctrl+f) > hex-values > 3F 28 5C 0B AF 8A C1 0B If you do not know which hairstyle # you chose during initial character creation, you will have to search each style string until you find yours
  5. Replace your current hairstyle string with the style of your choosing using the included Female_Hairstyles.txt Either copy/paste over the string of Hex values.. Or Replace(ctrl+r) > Hex-values > Find: "current hairstyle string" > Replace with: "desired hairstyle string"
  6. Save the modifed sav.dat file
  7. Load/reload your save file. No need to relaunch the game.
  8. Share Pics!
(y)Please Endorse/Vote his mod so they will hopefully add males and full customization instructions for us!

PS. Found a list of hairstyles over at Game8.
