Can you make endless money with arm wrestling?

It seems i can play the arm wrestling game as often as i want winning each time, which would make the game quite boring, as for repeating the arm wrestling game so often that you will have enough money to buy everything you want, and because having that much money, making money after wrestling doesnt mean anything anymore. So please tell me there's a cap..

It depends... would you rather be farming for a couple orens each time you win the arm wrestling game until you're rich or just get out and hunt for items, orens, and exp. Money is not really the big thing in this game, the good stuff airn't sold by npcs anyway.

Don't repeat the mini-games so often. It's an RPG. Role play it! Would you arm-wrestle THAT much if you were Geralt?

Don't get into a power gamer mentality who always tries to find any loopholes to maximize his character build. Those gamer types don't know how to play a RPG properly. They continuously break the 4th wall in order to gain more XP or more stats or whatever. That is not RP gaming, that is logistics.

Be a role player and you will have no problems. :)

Money isnt really a problem. I ignored all minigames other than Fist Fighting (since its impossible to lose) and had lots and lots of money always.
I think you could make infinite money once, but now its fixed and you can only arm wrestle each guy once? I dont know, never did it.

Thanks for the answers,I would hate it to spend a lot of time arm wresteling, to answer the question what i would do if i was Geralt: I probably wouldnt even doubt about going in the direction of that guy :)

Good to know that the money doesn't really make a difference, the point is I indeed like to just play the storyline but i also like the game to be a challenge, which means play the hardest settings I can manage using all the means that there are, so if you ignore something that could make your char stronger the challenge doesnt really make sense, at least thats how it feels.

So thx guys :)

since my laptop didn't have great specs (and screwed too) arm wrestling was very problematic for me (due to mouse lags)
hardly did that still didn't have problem as far as orens was concerned

Wish The Mighty Muna's secret potion was available much before in the game :p (would ruin lot of fun though, agreed, but still)

Theres nothing to stop you from Arm Wrestling endlessly, but that sure would be boring.

The game is pretty well set up so you dont NEED much more money than what you would get from doing all the quests and the normal amount of exploring the areas, maybe some extra hunting/gathering if you are into a lot of alchemy or crafting.

Given the extortionate prices of merchants in this game(buying price is like 13 times the price you can sell to them!) it becomes necessary to farm orens if you want all the really nice equipment and enhancements. And arm wrestling or fist fighting is certainly less tedious than running around killing monsters, bringing back their body parts and selling them again and again.

Best items in the game are found on quests. The only things I tend to buy from merchants are Scleroderm because I like to hoard Aether and runes when I get a new sword I want to upgrade. Other than that, just formulas, books and the occasional diagram. Sometimes I'll grab other things, but it isn't too often. You'll find enough orens exploring to make sitting around arm wrestling for 30 orens all day pointless.

If you are really desperate for more money then just use a trainer to give you more gold.

Yeah its a cheat but honestly spending hours doing arms wrestling is just cheating yourself out of the benifit of playing a game like TW2. Enjoy the rich story, enviroment and combat. THe arm wrestling is a nice addon but by no means the best part.

Also for those who like to be able to play/change things these are some great bits and peices available at The Witcher Nexus.

If you're going to "game" the game like that then just cheat and give yourself a bunch of gold and save a bunch of time.

But just like abusing the game, there's no fun in that.

Im not talking about the cheats - although they have some of those there too. There are other things there that are fun to play with like things that change the appearance of swords and armours in the game.
