How are you trying to get at them? Are you talking to the guy or opening the container directly?

On Roche's path, your storage agent is the dwarf Raymond Gessler, who is with the camp followers outside the fort. He should have the "I'd like to access storage" option. He is also a merchant, so be sure you are accessing storage rather than trading with him.

If you are on Roche's path and managed to get into Vergen and talk to the innkeeper, he is not the storage agent for your path, he will not have your stored goods, and anything you deposit with him will be lost.

Ive been interacting with act II storage for some time, so it isnt user error issues. I go directly to storage usually, but tried the dwarf to see if it got around the problem. I have so far deferred crossing the mist, so I havent interacted with any storage beyond that veil. :)

In order to build the oathbreaker rig, I pulled crafting items from storage not more than an hour's play time earlier. I went back, stashed the set, got stuff for the swords, crafted those, and went to fetch the armor set. De nada. Stuff goes in, but wont transfer out.

I save frequently, so I will probably revert, carry the amor set and build the swords. Ill experiment with storage after to see if the problem persists and also try to just take stuff first thing next time I play to confirm the problem lasts across game launches.

Not me; they belong to a trained handler at Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care :)

I can think of two things that might go wrong. If you cannot get any of the items you stowed back from Raymond, I'd be concerned that you inadvertently sold them to him instead of storing them. If it is only the armor you can't get back, I'd be concerned that there is a bug involving stowing the armor.

This is a long shot, but could you have accidentally (or deliberately) switched from Dark Mode to a different difficulty level? That would cause the items to disappear.

Nope and nope. The items never disappeared. I just reverted and got the swords without stashing the armor set. Things still are fine. Storage works. so whatever. I would have realized I sold stuff because I have a lot of junk in storage, embryos top the list, and would have noticed the difference. -and- nothing would transfer, not cheap bits of timber or the like. Besides, if you cant buy something you usually get a insufficient funds message. Crafty folk in this universe, they've already developed ATMs...

Cute bat anyway. Good to see not every one of them is getting that funky mold.

There is another nit I should probably post as a separate problem. It involves monsters disappearing if you die and reload in dark mode. Its happened a few times. The bullevor in the caves where Ogrin is passed out didnt respawn when I died fighting it. The arachas disappared from the Twin ponds or whatever without a fight. I just glanced it materializing, killed a few endrega in the area before the ponds and wandered off, assuming it would be around for me when I went through the Visionary's test. (This is my second playthrough on Roche's path) When I went through via the quest, I ony got chickens and "mushrooms".

I feel ridiculously over powered in oathbreaker, but I'll suffer for cool threads! Ive killed so many harpies now, I want a Buffalo Wings formula now.

Yup, you're correct on these. I didn't realise it was just Dark Mode though, I thought it happened in the other modes too. Annoying, if something happens before you've finished collecting the loot. I had to re-fight a couple of times. And I've experienced the disappearing Arachas.

Also, the bulivores guarding the final Mystic River quest don't necessarily show up if you go there straight from the Operator's room.
