Can't change resolution above 1366x768

I just built a new computer, and when I run The Witcher (Steam version), I can't set the resolution to 1920x1200, which is my monitor's native resolution; the slider only goes up to 1366x768. Anyway I can force the resolution?

I suspect it has to do with the fact that I have to use the -dontForceMinReqs command, because if I don't I get the error "Minimum requirements not met." This is on a Core i5-3570K and GeForce GTX670, so I'm pretty sure it meets the requirements, so I don't know why that error would pop up.

Does your motherboard have an integrated chip as well ? Or use Virtu or Hydralogix software .

Sounds like your computer is trying to use the built-in GPU (Core i5 3570K has the Intel HD 4000 GPU built in), not the 670. *Tommy* gave you some suggestions for that. I'd also consider just going into the BIOS and switching the built-in GPU off altogether.

It could also be that you do not have a monitor driver loaded. Try getting and installing the driver for your make and model of monitor.

Ah, yes, it's probably the integrated GPU, a few other games gave me similar errors based on not enough VRAM. Do you know how to disable it altogether? My motherboard is the Asus P8Z77-V and I looked around the BIOS for such an option but couldn't find it. I found one to set "Memory Remap" feature but I don't think that's it.

I do have a monitor driver (Dell U2412M) loaded so that's not it.

If you have the Virtu software then you can add game exe`s to the Virtu Control Panel
ftp://174.142.97.10/manual/virtu/Z68%20Extreme4/English.pdf

Thanks, but I don't really want to use the Virtu thing.

you need to use it, to CONFIGURE it so that it does not interfere with the game

Well, against my better judgment, I installed the drivers for the Intel HD graphics, and then the Virtu software, and enabled GPU virtualization and made sure the game was checked in the list before running The Witcher. It didn't work. Still can't up the resolution past 1366x768. Argh, why is this happening?

Adding witcher2.exe to the Virtu applications tab and selecting D ( as 'use Discrete' card ) does not help?

or

Turning Virtu off from it's control panel does not help?

Correct, I tried both those procedures (with witcher.exe, as this is for Witcher 1) and neither worked.
