Can't cross save from my PS5 to PC.

+
Good day,
I was trying to find a solution for the same issue but couldn’t.
I completed the main game about a year ago on my PS5, and now I bought a copy on PC via Steam. I’ve linked both my Steam and PS5 accounts to GOG, but I’m having an issue uploading my saves to the cloud from PS%. It says I need to run the game on a PS4 system. However, I don’t have any saves on the PS4 version to export when I'm launching it. I can see my PC saves, on PS5 version but I can’t do it the other way around.
Please let me know what I can do about this, as it’s really annoying.

Hi,
Sadly I can't read anything on your screenshot, but I see there is a "PS4" mention on the saves.
So you mean that on your PS5, you're unable to even load this saves?
If you can (to be honest, in theory, you should, nothing prevent to load a PS4 save on a PS5), did you try to create a new save of this playthrough?
(don't overwrite an old save, just create a fresh new one).

Edit : And to be sure! On your PS5, you play the PS5 version ("next-gen" version 2.3), not the PS4 version (1.63 if I remember) which is also available?

This sign says "Save file not found. Export it by opening the save menu in PlayStation 4" Sure, I have PS5 version and I have my saves on the console. When I'm trying to import them to the cloud this error happening. I have an actual version of game 2.3. Right now I'm downloading PS4 version. I don't know if it helps, but I'll try. While it's downloading I can't open PS5 version because I have physical disk of the game. So, right now I can't check other ways, how to fix it...
Also, I did a fresh save of PS5 version playthrough and it's not importing.
Anyway, thanks for a quick response. I'll let you know asap, when it's downloaded again.

Sorry for all of this:

1.) The Phantom Liberty expansion and the Next-Gen Patches onward are not available for PS4, only PS5.

2.) If you happened to start playing on the PS4 version of CP2077, then upgraded to a PS5, then downloaded Phantom Liberty and the latest patches, there's a good chance that there's data in your "original PS4 version saves" that won't read correctly. Trying to transfer that data again to PC is likely to encounter even more hurdles. Not sure if there's a workaround for this, but CDPR Support is most certainly where you want to focus.

3.) To save a lot of headache, I'd really recommend beginning a new character on the PC version. You can always try to work on getting the older save migrated over in the meantime. Once it's there, I think the likelihood for glitches and weirdness will be...

4.) If you originally began playing the base game on a PS5 (not a PS4), then ensure the game is fully up-to-date, Phantom Liberty installed. Try loading the saved game on a PS5 (PL and all updates confirmed), and re-save that game in a BLANK save slot. That should ensure that the data in the save file is readable for the migration.

Unfortunately, I don't know all the particulars for migrating between consoles and PC. Again, I would definitely check in with CDPR Support.

Sooo...
I downloaded the PS4 version, but there were no saves except the ones I made yesterday. I linked my account to GOG, and the saves appeared there, but due to version differences, they didn’t work. I closed the game, launched the PS5 version again, opened yesterday’s save, ran around a bit, saved once more — and it instantly uploaded to the cloud! Now I can play my PS5 saves on my PC.
It seems you just need to have both versions of the game installed on the PS5 at the same time (probably because my copy is from a disc). Everything synced to my PC correctly, so now I’m going to play.
Thanks you guys for your advices!
