Can't get over 60 - 65 FPS no matter what resolution or settings on PC

+
I've got an rtx 2060super, i5 8600k and don't use ray-tracing but I can get 55 - 70 fps on ultra 1440p with 3 or 4 options turned down some with quality dlss. Its a bummer not being able to use ray-tracing but anything above quality dlss is just ugly. Its a bummer to not be able to play the game without DLSS if you want really nice graphics with fps,
i got 3600 and 3080 same setting similar fps at 50-80 , i mean is this what 3080 suppose to perform ??
no matter what setting it still the same fps

I also have R 3600 with RTX 3090 and when outside driving car in the city, I get huge FPS drops, down to 40 playing at 1440p at ultra graphic - non RT.
I am quite, almost 100% sure it is a cpu problem, r 3600 is not powerfull or not optimized enough.

Try to reduce crowd and other cpu demanding stuff, I will try it on monday, not at home atm.
3600 +3080 here same problem , but lower crowd setting still the same fps , DLSS to performance definitely got bottleneck by cpu , i always set it to quality

Same issue here

5900x
rtx 3090
asus dark hero board
32gb 3600 cl14 RAM

FPS doesnt change no matter the resolution or setting. Stuck around 70fps at low 720p, or ultra 3440x1440. Theres definitely something bottlenecking.

Try updating all drivers.
. God damn greedy leaders at CDPR, should have delayed another year...

I am running the game at 1080p with max details

rtx 3080
i7-9700k

I can not even mantein the 60fps in many areas... Plus the cpu usage is at 100% and gpu is about at 30%
I can not believe i hit a cpu bottleneck with a 9700k...

Anyone else with same specs are facing similar problems?

That's exactly how my system performs. Same CPU, GPU and motherboard (well I just have the regular Hero WiFi).
But neither CPU nor GPU are bottlenecking when details are on low.

Hey guys,
I have an r5 3600, 1080ti
The solution is cpu utilisation. Check it out with MSI afterburner first but half of the threads will be showing 0% utilization.

This is the fix, you will either see an increase in frame rate, or increase in smoothness or even both. Check CPU utilization after the fix. Should be properly utilising your CPU now

FPS is locked to 60, it sometimes seems to over 60 a bit but in general it stays around 60. You could prolly unlock FPS in the GPU settings.

For players that can't keep 60 fps, please keep in mind that things like Ray Tracing or Shadow settings suck up a huge amount of power. Try turning these off or to low and see if it improves.

Can confirm that this is not the fix. It only gives you smoother avg. framerates.

Got a 5600x with an RTX 3070. Always getting between 50-65fps in all settings (720p low - 1440 RT ultra).

All my 6 cores (12 threads) at 70-80%+ utilization.

Bottleneck must be somewhere else. So far I think I've only seen people having this exact same issue with AMD cpu's, and considering that they compiled this game with Intel tools, it might be possible that something is not working as intended, creating a fake bottleneck.

Cyberpunk-2077-Pre-and-Post-Patch-for-AMD-Ryzen-SMT-1200x372.jpg
Step by Step:
1. Download HxD hex editor
2. Find your Cyberpunk2077.exe, i have GOG so mines was in Cyberpunk 2077binx64
3. Make a backup copy of Cyberpunk2077.exe just in case
4. Drag Cuberpunk2077.exe to HxD, a bunch of hex numbers should appear (like 01 FF 0D, etc)
5. Press CTRL+F, change column to Hex-Values
6. Put in “75 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08” in the search string without quotes, those values should be highlighted
7. Copy “EB 30 33 C9 B8 01 00 00 00 0F A2 8B C8 C1 F9 08” without quotes
8. Back in HxD right click the highlighted values and select “paste insert”
9. Now go to top bar and click the save icon logo

Or just use this nexus mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/117?tab=posts

Already discussed, doesn't help, only smooths the average fps or nets you a tiny amount of fps. We are talking about 100's of fps missing in lower quality settings.

I'm not complaining about the performance. It's quiet good with everything maxed. It just doesn't get any better with lower details, which is really strange.
Oh, but I do complain, and if I had a 3090 like you, I would be really pissed. I wouldn't buy a 1000+ bucks graphics card to play at ridiculous 60 FPS, my dude. Your rig is meant to be used with a 120Hhz HDR monitor, don't be a peasant and accept this crappy performance, ffs.

Just to say that I have the exact same problem - fps caps at 66fps no matter what settings or resolution I use.

I have tried the HxD editor without any success. All 24 threads being utilised well, with an overall utilisation of around 40-50%.

I have also DDU'd the drivers and re-installed drivers directly (without using Geforce Experience) without any success.

It doesn't really affect my gameplay as I prefer to play at 60fps at nearly maxed settings but seems very weird that something is hard capping the res at 66fps. The most frustrating thing is that this isn't happening to most other people!

FYI my system specs:
5900X
RTX 3080 FTW3
Asus X570 Strix Gaming F mobo

Editing the Cyberpunk2077.exe didn't do anything for me. The CPU load is a bit higher now - ~50% instead of ~30% - but max performance is still capped.

Yeah I don't think CPU utilisation is the issue for faster CPUs with more cores, unlike for lower core CPUs where it may be the bottleneck at lower resolutions

The most strange thing is that if this is a driver/game code issue then why isn't this happening to a lot more people?

To double check my components are working fine I just tried Borderlands 3 and lowering resolution from 1600p to 1080p increased my fps from 100 to 120 as expected

Any chance you are on Win7 and don't have a fullscreen option ingame ?
I actually stopped using windows 7 ages ago and also have fullscreen. But I will try a clean install of windows and hope it helps. The GPU usage is only 80% and CPU only 60%. I will also add more RAM.

There is an Engine forced limit on FPS.

This is from the config file

[Engine]

LimitFPS = 60

OverLimitFPS2 = false

Not sure if changing this would help but it is worth a try

Mandatory post 4. you and me both! Newest patch got even worse FPS for me.
