Can't launch the game | Support Website Submit Button not working

+
Hey all

1. Bought a brand new gaming laptop! Hurray
2. Installed Steam
3. Installed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition
4. Press the Green Button "Play"
5. Launches REDlauncher
6. REDlauncher says at the bottom my GPU is out of date and links to an Intel website. I don't use Intel, I use Nvidia. I ignore the message.
7. I press the Red Button "Play"
8. REDlauncher closes itself
9. Steam goes from "Running" back to "Green Button Play"

Okay, I'm a man of an adventure, I Google and find a Technical Support Thread, I wisely follow religiously what they write there.

1. I install DDU (never heard of that before, but hey, nothing that can stop me now!)
2. I properly uninstall my Nvidia Drivers
3. I rebooted automatically and luckily the Integrated Intel GPU was working
4. Googled "Install Nvidia Drivers" (Had no idea how to do that, never done it before)
5. Installed the Nvidia App (which is a new thing apparently?)
6. Installed the latest Nvidia Drivers for my GPU (Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, version: 32.0.15.7680)
7. I uninstalled the 5 different C++ Redistributables which my laptop had
8. Installed the latest C++ Redistributable in x86 (for the Tech Savy people, it's version: 14.44.35208.0)
9. Opened the guide for a Clean Boot launch (worked my way through all of that)
10. Restarted in Clean Boot
11. Made sure all other programs were closed, no overlays either
12. Launched Steam, got an Error! That a "Service" was missing. Presumably because I disabled all services part of the Clean Boot guide, enabled it again
13. Steam launched! Success
14. Pressed "Green Button Play"
15. Sadness. Depression. The Darkness. The Void. (same process as described prior)

Okay, I'm a man of an adventure on an EPIC QUEST, so I decide to submit a support ticket on the aforementioned Technical Support website/guide.

1. I fill in all the information
2. Fill in my e-mail
3. Write a short description
4. Make a DxDiag (Never done this too, what an exciting day of new stuff that I'm doing!)
5. Uploaded the DxDiag
6. Pressed on Images with Bridges (The I am NOT a Robot thingy)
7. Pressed "Submit"
8. Oh no! Inside the "Red Submit Button" I see a brief loading icon (circular) and it stops. Nothing happens, same page.

Okay, I'm a man of an adventure on a LEGENDARY QUEST, so I decide to Google this "Submit" button issue. Which brought me here! Some other user had this issue too.

1. I install 2 new browsers. Edge & Safari (I am a Chrome user)
2. I open the Tech Support link in those 2 browsers
3. I run through the same process in each browser
4. To no avail
5. Sadness. Depression. the Darkness. The Void.

Okay, I'm getting a bit frustrated here. You know, I never could play Next Gen TW3 on my old rig, cuz the Hardware couldn't handle it. New gaming rig! Excited to see the visual impressiveness on the grand scale. If that's your expectation, this entire afternoon turned out quite differently.

However, I am a man of solution. Now on ARTIFACT QUEST. I log in and make a forum post. In the mere hope that I can play this game on my brand new gaming laptop.

Is there anyone able to help me with this ARTIFACT QUEST? Many thanks!

For the Tech Savy people, I'll include the DxDiag and the links I've used for the process written above.

1. Guide from CD Projekt Red:

2. Support Page which isn't working (Submit Loading Loop):

3. Clean Boot Mode Guide by Windows:

4. Visual C++ Redistributables:

Are you using a VPN perhaps ? VPN can cause problems with the support website.

Also check your Antivirus program, to make sure it's not interfering with the game and/or the support website for whatever reason.

Hi there

I am not using a VPN
I only have the default Windows 11, is there a default Antivirus included? If so, how can I disable it?

EDIT: I decided to proceed without Login to REDlauncher since I don't need the goodies or the shares sync. I assumed that's safe since it's an option? I'll test if that's the culprit. So far the game won't boot :(

EDIT 2: Logged in on the REDlauncher, the game attempts to load but nothing happens and it closes the launcher.

The submit button has been disabled in the code as you can see here.

Hm, I don't think it's Windows Defender then, unless there's a setting you changed. I don't know why it's not working on your end. It seems fine as far as I can see. The only time I've seen something comparable is if an adblocker was enabled.

Adblockers can also cause the same issue when it comes to Redlauncher, as it uses the Browser that is set to be your standard browser on Windows. If that browser has some sort of PopUp/Adblocker that can lead to issues as well.

As for the Support Website: Another thing you could try is clicking on "steam deck" instead of Windows PC, that way you don't have to upload the DXDiag. If you mention in the description that it's actually for the PC version that should be enough for now.

Hey, thanks for the reply

The freshly installed Edge browser came without any extensions/plugins afaik.
I just removed 3 AdBlockes from Chrome and will test this out.
Will also try the "Steam Deck" option and come back with results.

On top of this I also have:

- Ran a game integrity file check (steam)

EDIT: Adblockers gone (Adblocker and Ublock Origin and Ublock Origin Lite)

- REDlauncher fails to launch
- Same browser Steam Deck not available, but on Nintendo it was!

Also if you check the actual HTML/CSS code from the inspect element, it literally says the button has been disabled in the actual code.

So the PC-version has a faulty button basically
