can we please do something about the controls for console players. I've been paying FPS all my life and almost every single one that i have played have had the same fluid mechanics for controls when it comes to looking around, aiming down sights, and driving. I've played around with the settings to try to fix it but it doesn't quite get the job done. The controls are either to sensitive or not sensitive enough, for example when i have to put a iron sight on an enemies head and it takes me a milling micro adjustments of the joy stick to even get it close enough to the head and then with driving i barely touch the left or right and it wants to make a 90 degree turn, also to turn the other direction to corse correct and it does it so quick and is super out of control,

This is an RPG first and a first-person shooter second you have to put points into your guns in order to be able to be good at shooting and aiming and I believe the same situation for driving.

This is absurd. CDPR is dropping the ball on a lot of very basic things.

To the developers of Cyberpunk 2077, my name is Troy. I've been a gamer for almost 30 + years, and I've spent 24 of those years disabled. I have enjoyed CD Projekt red games since the very first Witcher came out and used the Aurora engine that was built from the Neverwinter Nights engine and thought it was a complete technical Marvel. When I found out that cyberpunk 2077 was coming out and you guys were making it, I was too excited. Still, I was also apprehensive because most game developers, when they make a game with vehicles in it, don't incorporate Mouse control steering and expect everyone to use a controller. Now I have written to you guys on several separate occasions pleading and begging you to please incorporate Mouse control steering into your game, hoping that you would hear me and understand my plight. But as usual, my pleading and begging have fallen on deaf ears and blind eyes 2 people who don't care about disabled gamers, and that's what I see when you don't incorporate something as simple as Mouse control steering into your game. I hope with all my heart that you see this message and understand how simple a Fix-It can be to do what I ask.

We're in the same boat, man.
I also had asked the same things and no one ever answered. The mouse steering, it's good for us, but it's also very performing in racing game. I don't understand why it is almost never considered.

I cannot say anything to aid in the accessibility of the game, however I can say that for those of you who cannot play right now due to these issues it may be a small blessing in disguise.

I implore you to try to remain spoiler free until it becomes playable by you all in hopes by that time most of if not all the game breaking bugs and glitches are patched so that you can play this game that you are looking forward too with the enjoyment and satisfaction you all deserve.

Right, everything has its silver lining.
I'm considering to wait a week or 2 for this to be patched among other breaking bugs.
CDpr is quick, the number of quests ajusted in the first patch proves me i can wait a bit more to play a better experience.

On to constructive solutions, it would appear that the main issue is the input method, I'm not overly familiar with your trackpad, but would it not just emulate mouse movement, so if it operates like a "normal mouse" in windows it should work, why it does not use the standard HID-driver in windows is beyond me, that should work with anything.

Your initial post from a trouble shooting perspective is just plain garbage, as a developer when i get this kind of "bug report" let me tell you it will not end up at the top of my "to-do-list" it will probably not even be looked at so to increase the chance of this being sorted out please open up your Device manager, scroll down to the Mice and other pointing devices, open up the devices, identify the one that is your device. You will have to unplug it and open up the other ones check their Hardware ID and make sure you know witch is witch, then paste an edited screenshot with all of the devices that correlates to your touch pad, there may be more than one this is not unusual.

The Hardware ID will be necessary to whitelist devices for example.

Please see attached screenshot.

Please we need more information.

From the looks of it this seem to be an intentional design decision, a silly one in my opinion but that is good news as it will probably be quite simple to patch.

Best of luck.

I am quadriplegic and can't use physical mouse due to no finger movement.
To play pc games I use xbox controller on one hand and virtual touchpad on other hand with stylus to play most games out there. (I use touchscreen monitor)
Xbox controller works fine but problem is
Touchscreen input and touchpad input does not get recognized by the game.
Cursor is stuck in middle of the screen if I try to move with touchpad and virtual input like joy2key is not being recognize by the game.
Both window 10 touchpad and custom virtual touchpad program (TabletPro) is not working for me.
I'm really disappointed I'm unable to play right away or even unable to play at all.
Wish there is a work around or patch to fix this.

So I am a C5 quadriplegic for movement. I have shoulders and biceps, and neck. When playing PC games, I used my pinky knuckle for one button at a time on the left side of the keyboard and my thumb and inside heel of my right hand for the mouse movement and click of buttons. That is how I've been playing games for the last 24 years. I've never really had to use anything else I have no dexterity in my hands, meaning my fingers do not move at all, and I cannot afford to buy extra joysticks and controllers for other games as I am not able to switch them out on the Fly. CD Projekt Red dropped the ball when they designed this game. I am utterly devastated and disappointed that they screwed up so badly out of all the things I've been reading all this game. I cannot believe it's been eight years in development, and it's been this bad! They said the reason for the delay was to optimize for the older consoles. Well, it looks like it was way worse than that, so giving them the benefit of the doubt covid did happen this year, so they should have had the courage to say it's not being released till 2021, but I guess they did not want to but rather betray all their fans by putting out a buggy mess of a project.

Hey guys!
I'm slowly completing my game setup. voice attack is working correctly but the little autohotkey script I use doesn't work... Is there any procedure to correct the problem?

I write it here if it can be useful :

~RButton::Send {w UP}
~RButton UP::Send {w down}

it is an automatic aiming when i release the button. the controls are my own but you can use any other keys

Decided to make a patcher for fixing the virtual inputs problem based on the fix by oppai, just posted it on reddit. Autohotkey works perfectly now.

As I've said, I am a C5 quadriplegic, and I use one pinky knuckle for one key at a time on the left side of my keyboard. I used my thumb for my 4 button trackball Mouse and the outside heel of my right hand to hit the right top and bottom buttons and left button on my Mouse. I've been playing this way for the last 6 years I can't afford any PC attachments due to the extravagant prices And the fact I can't always easily switch controllers on the Fly because I can't use any controllers.

I understand a lot of people are having problems my biggest issue so far is you cannot control the steering with a trackball mouse yet you can control Witcher 3 horse with a mouse as well as Red Dead Redemption 2 horse with a mouse an GTA V cars with a mouse so why the hell can't you control the steering in cp2077 with a mouse!?!? It makes no goddamn sense!

To be honest it wasn't blackmail I told them honestly what I am prepared to do if nothing is done at all. And anybody in my shoes would probably do the same thing so unless you're in my position don't assume you wouldn't do the same thing. Because I'm pretty damn sure you would.

Hello,

I found this post because it is mentioned here . I cannot use my right hand hardly at all. I play the PC version of games. #PCMasterRace ;)

Anyway, I use the 2014 left handed Naga MMO mouse. The mouse comes with software that lets me rebind keys for individual games . But I prefer to rebind the keys in the games themselves. Sometimes the Razer Synapse software is screwy and when I switch back to my desktop it still thinks I am in a game. Weird stuff like that.

I would MUCH prefer to be able to rebind all keys in a game . IMHO by the year 2020 we should be able to rebind any key to any other key on the keyboard or to a mouse button. I believe this should be standard in all games.

Thank you

Hex edit is a nice work around for getting multiple inputs to work together, but seems like it can lead to icon prompt switching which can be unwanted and annoying.

Hopefully the option to lock the icons becomes available if a patch is pushed like WItcher 3

Similiar as OP.

I cant use my right hand very well, so K&M isnt an option for me. Usually I get by using the Steam Controller to emulate K&M.

It appears this may be an intentional design decision as an anti-cheat measure (See Mennenth reply - as of writing this post, it's the second top level comment):
https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamController/comments/ka5b7w
I hope it's not and CDPR can add support for this... especially since how much they stressed that Single- and Multiplayer are separated from each other.

"Anti-cheat measure"
...Is there a multiplayer mode I don't know anything about? Why the heck is a company putting Anti-cheat in a singleplayer game!? All it does is make customers miserable

I myself am also a disabled person (Cerebral Palsy and some other problems), but I'm lucky that I'm a software developer myself too, so I added the keyboard control of the camera movements as I usually play games with only my keyboard, and changed a lot of 'unchangeable' keybinds. That's why I now can play Cyberpunk 2077. I first tried to use my iPad as mouse, but had the same issues as you have. It's sad they forget people with Motoric Disabilities while making 'accessible' settings. This is a thing Ubisoft currently do the best, despite ofc that their aim assist in AC Valhalla doesn't work yet, but that's that. They at least gave us insight in all the options before their games launched.

I also have the same problem. My disability makes me unable to use a keyboard, so I'm using a gamepad with a program called Antimicro, which translates the gamepad input into keystrokes. Antimicro works with every other game I have played, but in Cyberpunk, none of the inputs come trough.
