Can't play ranked/casual anymore?

After a month without playing the game, I installed in on a different pc. I have an internet connection and can set up a match, but I don't see the mulligan screen or anything. Just a loading screen.

It's not the PC as I can play "practice" mode just fine.

Verify/repair the game, just in case.
Also make sure that nothing is slowing down your internet connection too much.
Sometimes restarting Windows helps, but I don‘t know if it‘s the case here as well.

Ok that seemed to fix all the issues (animated cards also appeared low-res and not animated). Weird that I can play practice mode though...
