I have a ps4 pro purchased the disc from Walmart (ironically the case was damaged too) . I've deleted and re-downloaded multiple times, safe mode rebuild, cleared cache, everything. I still get that error code message. Conducted this process 3 times for 4 hours.

1.04 update did not correct the crash or the inability to launch the game.

I bought Red Dead 2 yesterday and had noooo issues. As well as tried all my other disc games. ONLY cyberpunk, not a coincidence given the PR of bugs, crashes, and issues.

Im absolutely pissed that I spent $60 on a game I was looking forward to. You should of just waited and fixed the issues.

I have no idea, what to expect or if I should just return the game till further notice. Not a single release has been put out to Sony or gamers on this. What is that? Can't even make a statement?

Why should I hold onto the game? This clearly was a widespread issue pushed to the side to hit the holiday buy season. Especially because covid and gaming numbers are up. Its disgraceful. You guys suck. My worst gaming experience of all time

And the disc looks clean and normal? It might be a faulty copy for whatever reason...

You probably already did that but here are the suggestions from support:

Yes, that‘s why I was asking if the disc looks clean.

As mentioned before, it sounds like there‘s something wrong with the disc. Either a faulty copy or it got damaged somehow.

Stop blaming the console disk or cache or whatever else you can come up with when it's your game causing the errors.

If there would be a problem with RAM/CPU/HDD or rain clouds inside the console these errors would show up in all other games also.

Here is the thing, Cyberpunk crashes about every 1-2 hours of gameplay and it seems to get worse the further into the game I get.

Just before the game crashes it can start to get incredibly slow not that it isn't insanely slow from the beginning.
What I mean with slow is for example, picking something up.

The text showing you picked something up can take upto 30 seconds. Answering an incoming phone call can take a minute.

These are all symptoms gamers can recognize from other titles such as Fallout 4, Fallout New Vegas ( especially when the save file started to get large )

Now today I can play Fallout 4 and Skyrim for at least 24+ hours before a crash will happen.
And games like F1 2020, Diablo 3 even longer if they would even ever crash.

Now what are these symptoms pointing at, if your developers don't know I can inform them it is what is commonly called memory leaks and this can be very hard to fix, but if you want to save the game you need to fix them.

All and every glitch I seen all over are minor compared to constant crashes and I do believe that some glitches is due to memory leaks also since there is no memory left to load in assets needed.

So why does it run better on high end PC and PS5, simply because there is more memory to abuse before all is eaten up.
A high end pc today will most likely have 32Gb+ RAM and a graphic card with 8Gb+ wich means wile game will crash in 2 hours on a PS4 Pro it woul maybe take 8+ on a high end pc.

Now these kind of memory leaks will no show up in used memory on a PC since it thinks it is free but it's not.

So fix the memory leaks and many glitches will most likely fix themselves like missing tarot cards when getting a reading.
Gvien a gun to put in your head instead of the memory chip. Invisible cigarettes and many more.

What should I do in my case? From what I said above

Crashes are a different topic. It's not really the same issue in this case.

If the game fails to install properly, even though there's still enough free space on your hard drive, it seems like a disc issue and if nothing helps I would return the disc to the seller.

I should have enough free space?..But wouldn't the game alert me it is unable to install as other games have before?

Ultimately, I'll probably return it. Not, feeling too confident about this. To play a game its been over the top stressful.

It should alert you but I once had a situation with a different game where it didn't alert me. But yeah, usually Playstation lets you know if that's the case.

I had the same problem and I have the PS4 Pro too.
I purchased the game from Amazon on 10th December, installed it from data disk and then downloaded the 1.02 patch version. Tried to launch the game using the play disk and the same error appeared. I tried launching another game from disk and I had no problems. I tried to rebuild my PS4's database (after rebooting it in safe mode) and I still had the same error.
I was about to go to a friend's house with my disc in order to test it on his console but then I tried to uninstall the game and install it again and I was finally able to play the game!
This is strange, for sure. I don't really know if it could be a problem with my disc because now it's working just fine. I have reason to believe this is more a software problem.

I totally agree. Software and not a physical disc problem.

I purposely open a new game afterwards to test, and no problem.

Way too coincidental this code error comes up as well all the bugs everyone online has been talking about.

If you have the chance you can try using the same disc on one of your friend's console. In this way you will be 100% sure if it's a problem with the disc. I will do the same if I'll get the same error again.
I can suggest to uninstall the game and install it again but, as far as I understood, you already did that.

I've updated to 1.05 hotfix.... it's more like a hotmess. Luckily the game auto saves frequently. Error code every now and then. I just want to play without it crapping out for once.

Some days ago, after the game crashed, the same error appeared again. After restarting my console I managed to launch again the game correctly. Definetely a software problem.

I bought the game new on release date. No damage to the disk of any sort. After almost three weeks of playing the application won't start anymore. I got the same message yesterday but after removing and inserting the disk three times the game started as intended. A second icon saying "corrupted data" also appeared next to the Cyberpunk icon whenever I insert the disk.

I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, no luck. Followed the instructions on the PS support site for the error code, no luck. Game was bought on launch day from a trusted retailer. No damages. Worked just fine untill yesterday. Other games launch and load just fine. This is a definitely a software issue and I'm at my wits end trying to fix it.

Everyone. Don't do any troubleshooting when all your other games work fine. I should of known better but I wasted my time doing below because I was so hopeful something wrong with PS5 in terms of conflict with this game.

Hello everyone. :)
Same problem here. Ps4 fat, so far absolutely no problem with other games. Bought a nearly new copy of CP2077 D1 on Ebay: disks are the cleanest thing I have ever seen (no scratch, no dust, no nothing), when I start to install the game, the installation inevitably stops around 18,848GB (see pictures), then shows the infamous 30005-8 error, and then a cross appears over the game installation bar.
Now I am downloading the 1.06 patch, but I don't know if the game will run or not. In other words, if the game will "read" the 1.06 data, or the disk data (but how, if the installation clearly is not complete?).
Any idea? Please give help to a desperate player. Thanks in advance,
newschannel
