Cards Selection screens sporadically being skipped

Title pretty much says it all... two different cards within a few days one was supposed to pop a screen for my hand cards, the other was supposed to pop a screen for my graveyard, both had valid targets available. both times the screen failed to show. in the first case a card was auto selected, and in the second no card was selected... both times losing me the game. I've already filed a bug on this and run verify on the installation.

has anyone else seen similar events?

Could be some server hickup, wouldn't be the first time.
But I'd say at that point a bug report is all that can be done.
Hopefully the game will be more stable once the Homecoming patch is out there.

I had actually seen it happening several patches back but then it never seemed to happen after the engine overhaul so I assumed it was fixed... apparently not = S
