Does CD Project actually mean Compact Disc Project or Change Directory (to) Project (Dos) ?

And yup, I think it means CD. But make sure you pronounce it correctly.

The two young men had $2000 and a computer to their name, and their first office was a room in a friend's flat, rented for free. It was up so many flights of stairs that people would arrive for meetings drenched in sweat: "They were like huh huh huh [panting] - where the hell are you?!"

While one can hope CDPR becomes just as successful let's hope they don't become the same 500# gorilla.
