Cd Project Red don't believe in boss fights. But both The Witcher 1 and 2 had boss fights?

i've read in an interview a long time ago that this game didnøt have any real boss fights, but i cannot believe that to be true. I for one love boss fights and both the Witcher 1 and 2 has boss fights, quite a few actually, especially the first. So I donøt understand this. I really hope that this game will also have boss fights, although I know it is properly a bit hard, given that it is open world and all. What do you guys think?

the concept of boss fight can be very different from game to game. If you except boss fight like the ones at the end of a level / chapter on certain games, you're gonna be disapointed.

In witcher 1 & 2, there were some monsters who could be considered like bosses but it was done carefully to feel natural and logical to confront them. Obviously both games ended with a final boss so to speak, but It never really felt like "bosses" for me but more like bad ass monsters / people to kill for whatever reasons.

In witcher 3 you'll have some pretty nasty beasts that will have their own way of figthing, with strengths and weaknesses and I guess you could call them "bosses" ;)

Well, I think they don't call it boss fights, but there should be a lot of challenging monsters.

There is even an option in HUD settings "Display Boss Health Bar".
So yeah, there are boss fights.

OK, if you say so. It is true that there is big health bar for big monsters. Does't matter, you can call it bosses or big ugly motherfuckers or anyhow you want.

I'm not a huge fan of boss fights. That is the main reason I haven't played Bloodborne haha. I can do a few here and there and I'm actually pretty exited about TW3's boss/monster fights.

coronel_pekerman:Why do you think so? There is also Draug and dragon in TW2 and in TW1 there are some too. Or it just wasn't challenging for you?

I think the mosters hunting quests will be sort of like boss fights.

Not to mention "The Operator". That guy was probably the hardest.

This is exactly why they decided not to make bosses in Witcher 3. There was some negative feedback about W2 boss fight. But there are still stronger enemies out there.

Overall issue with TW2 was that the combat was bad and too easy when played "right" (Quen all day every day and roll away from danger). Played through dark with my left hand and only struggled in The Eternal Battle missions where you play as the soldier rather than Geralt. That part was a bit frustrating. After that Draug was a piece of cake
