No digital DRM-free version I guess? Or Dark Horse will make it better this time? I really hope you can bring some sense into these publishers, since CDPR has experience with DRM-free releases and you can explain to them the nonsensical nature of DRM.

It's a physical hard-copy book, there's been no mention of a digital version.

I see, then we'll have to wait if such version will come out.

I'll need to see the quality of content, ie; illustrations/descriptions to decide. TW2 art book was nice but not high quality, in the text or the reproduction.

Yep, real dearth of info in this announcement.

Sounds fantastic !

It would be nice to see some sample pages before this compendium of the Witcher series is released.
If it has even a single Ciri illustration in it, I have no excuse not to get it~

Well, I think that is because they have just agreed on a collaboration.
They are probably still working on selecting/creating the right content for this project.

The announcement is just to let us know what is happening~

"The World of the Witcher" Artbook vs W3 CE Artbook.

Is the content going to be unique, or am I just wasting money by having both?

The common way to do them (as I saw on previous games, like Halo, WoW and AC) is to have a portion of content in both books, and then each book will have its exclusives, typically with the CE edition having higher quality stuff.

Ironically though, the standalone artbook for AC4 Black Flag was far superior to the tiny one that came with the Collector's Edition.

Of course sometimes it's the opposite :p but the thing I wanted to make clear is it's very likely the books won't have 100% same content ;)

Just to clarify, it won't be included in the CE and it's not the same as CE's artbook. The artbook will contain only stuff from Wild Hunt and WOTW will include materials from each one of our games.

Hmmm im tempted..... ... the cover looks very cool... but im not that interisted in reading about just the locals also the part about monsters ,I think the games deliver sufficant infos... so I dont want just a extra guide on that..

Though im not really sure what to expect from this.. how detailed is it really.. might change my mind with more infos..if it can add to my overall experience ..ill consider it..

I'm very curious as to what it will contain in regards to text or images. I'm looking for a coffeetable book featuring a game, and I do adore The Witcher franchise. I intend to get the CE via GoG though, so either I can buy the physical CE artbook second hand and hope for a good price, or I could get this. Thing is, is there a lot of text or a lot of images in it? Does anyone know, could you tell me CDPR?

Ironically? More like "typically". Companies always pull that trick.

Well, I'm used to having full-sized, 200ish page artbooks with my CEs (Skyrim, Witcher 2, and Diablo III all came with such books). When I opened the AC4 (and later, also Dark Souls 2...) CE, I was surprised by how small it was.

It's been like that in since 2012-ish. Only artbook I had seen that size before was Fallout 3. I still blame 2K.

I had faith cdpr wasn't going to pull that shenanigans.
