Volume 1 is by far the best. Released by none other than 4AD records, the legendary London indie label, home of This Mortal Coil, Dead Can Dance and The Cocteau Twins, the best pop band ever.

What if..... the teaser they showed us takes place in autumn and Geralt is leaving northern kingdoms with Nilfgaardian escorts and the screenshot from gamespot shows us that Geralt finaly arrived after long journey in Nilfgaard where they keep Yennefer... What do you think?

The question is, could that really be a race? If so, I could hardly imagine it as a mini game, but as a part of the story it would be even stranger. Although those 100+ hours have to be filled with something.

Well the riding mechanics are already there, it would be pretty easy to just have some areas where you could plop in a racing mini-game (As long as it was still contextually appropriate).
Red Dead Redemption had them for example.
