Finally! modders will be able to make stuff a long wish finally going to be fulfilled, guys like me get stuff too :D being a computer engineer and enthusiast myself I might give modding a try this time, never done it before! and I remember last year's gamescom when we got those awesome trailers for the 360 version of TW2 I hope we get more such cool stuff like a surprise teaser or video like 52 and a half or something, you guys even make the best trailers :D

Agree with Adytia, a trailer demonstrating some features would be sweet! Also, this is amazing news as in my opinion these kinds of kits greatly improve a games longevity and success. CDProjectRed, you guys are too awesome.

To tell you the truth i am kind of dissapointed, becouse i really hoped to se a TW3 announcment on gamescom :(.Well i guess it is a little to early for that.I am glad that we have the modding kit.CDPR is awesome and thinks about their fans,as always. You are the best CDPR.But i still wanted TW3 announcment QQ.

Oh, and please DON'T do anything like tying it to Steamworks. I'd definitely rather see a continued support of The Nexus, as they've been supporting the Witcher mods for so long already. :)

I expected them to be done with TW2 after the EE update/360 release yet they continue to support the game. I wish more companies were like this so much. It was completely disgraceful how John Carmack's excuse for the lack of support on ID's Rage was basically "We are almost all working on Doom 4." more or less.

Man, how can you not love CDProjekt RED?

This is great news. Hopefully Cyberpunk and The Witcher 3 get the kind of treatment that The Witcher 2 has gotten.

This is wonderful news! I hope the modding community will make some great things.

That line about being able to make "great looking locations" is especially good news, since adding new locations to TW1 was nearly impossible. Being able to add new locations to TW2 will greatly increase the possibilities for modders using the REDkit, compared with what TW1 modders could do.

*smile* Thanks for the compliment, but no, I won't. For one thing, TW2 doesn't excite me in the same way that TW1 did. For another thing, I'm working on a stand-alone game of my own, so I'm pouring my energy into that and not into modding.

(I need some photographs of people for that game I'm making, so I'd love it if anyone I've helped or anyone who's enjoyed one or more of my mods -- or even just anyone who thinks it would be cool to be IN a computer game -- contributed a picture.)

But I'm sure that some NEW modders will come along and do wonderful things with the REDkit! There's lots of passion and lots of creativity in this community.
