CD Projekt RED, please don't take money from Nvidia, I'll give them to you.

Well, on screens it doesn't look good at all. Maybe in motion it looks better.

Ehh... It looks alright i guess? But really, what's the point?

On the other note, is it still possible to run physix on dedicated nvidia card? For example i have gtx 460 and 780, or some amd card, can i run physX on gtx 460 and rest on more powerfull card?I remember that somebody told me it was an option.

"In addition to the nice look (especially in motion), Dynamic Fur feature is utilizing DX Compute, according to information we have recieved, and thus should be available to AMD users as well."

So it's based on the same technology as TressFX.

And new screen:

In direct comparison it looks better with it, but the fact that COD has really dated graphics might be factor here.

each time nvidia releases a new flagship card, they create a new FX as well.. I remember the hair effect was the advertisement with GTX580. I cant remember what they implemented with 680, but in 780 they advertised realistic skin.

And they always add these features in their extensions... I hope we see something like hair fx, but with realistic skin soon.

realistic skin 1

realistic skin 2

here is 580

680 was improved physx

flameworks also supposed to be 780? I wonder what they will give us with 880.

I'm also not impressed. I looked cool on wolf running in slow motion, when there was nothing else on the screen. In normal environment it's not impressive at all, actually it's hard to notice it even when he look directly at the dog.

The fact that environment is poor quality also doesn't help.

I also see some dust, fog and splashes... are these physx related?

Nope. Only PhysX effect is that smoke grenades look a little bit different, but it works only in multiplayer.

Yeah, it looks rather unimpressive. Maybe it's an inferior version? It is COD after all which is still has Quake 3 code in it...

I hope CD Projekt realizes there are a lot of gamers, like me, who own AMD GPUs. If my gaming experience is going to be affected by the fact my graphic card is not going to be able to handle the Nvidia PhysX... well.. then that physics engine is not going to be, by any means, a good choice.

I believe Nvidia PhysX is handled by CPU on AMD machines. So in theory if you have a good CPU, you should be fine.

you guys are kidding right? that fur looks amazing. look at the dog's abdomen/undercarriage where hair drape down and the chest where the hair overlaps due to the skin sag.
