Hi, first I want to say, that I loved the game "The Witcher" and I also was extremely surprised that you developed such a big "patch" (the enhanced edition) and it was for free. This is what I call support and not this new DLC-issue.Also I just read that you dont use a DRM-system at "The Witcher 2" so I ordered just the CE-Edition of the Game. Please keep supporting the PC-gamers as you did till now and please dont introduce this DLC-thing, that is for me the way how honest customers get betrayed. So thank you for the great game and i am totally looking forward for "The Witcher 2". Regards Eduard

Great post. Spot-on.I second your comments.CDP leads the way. They brought me back as a customer of pc games with TW1 EE. Last game I had bought was Baldur's Gate 2 like a decade ago. Please don't chage CDP!

Second second. ;)I loathe that customer punishment malware. My computer is SecuRom free and I did not buy a lot of games because of it, which I would've bought otherwise. But CDPR goes another extra mile and presents us with an awesome Witcher package, kudos. Can't wait to buy it. Well, try and illegally download that! :DAnd yes about the DLC issue which is cutting the game very short but selling it for even more gold, because the dlc capability is worth some extra money. And by the time dlc gets released, you can shell out some more...And you're right, it had to be said.I hope that reasonable companies like CDPR will prevail.

I still hope those DLCs aren't that bad. I think it's meant to be a surprise when getting the game. Like which DLC will i get? Will it be a good one? Unique armor? Finishers? It builds up anticipation and gives you a feeling that you have something that others don't have. Also I hope you will be able to get all DLCs for free after some time or you will get it another way.

yes thats true CDPR is one of the those few that are still supporting PC gaming!!! big kudos to them.. although i wish it could come out on consoles as well only so they can get better sales and hopefully create even better TW3

I believe i heard on one of the videos that even if you use steam you could still save games on your hard drive if you so choose. Although having online backups of your saved games wouldn`t be a terribly bad idea. And yes i also hope that no strict DRM policies bor the boxed versions

Well, if you want The Witcher 2 with NO DRM AT ALL, you can order it through gog.com.That's about as fair a deal as I've ever seen anywhere, so kudos to CDPR!

You don’t get a physical copy of it but still pay the full price. I’d hate that.

Now THAT is a client-friendly position. You know, I myself have beaten first Witcher with pirated copy (Please, don't kill me!). The game was so awesome, that when the Enhanced Edition was released for cheap price and with all the freebies, I bought it right away. And now I'm going to buy regular edition too, just for the sake of printed manual (it wasn't included in Russian EE. Yes, I am crazy). And yeah, before I heard about absence of DRM in WItcher 2, I was thinking about buying DVD-box or Premium edition, but after - F that, I'll buy collector's edition. CD Projekt are like the only guys who know how to release games in eastern Europe.

@ CD ProjektSee? That's the response you want, a post like this in any gamer forum will convince many others to go buy a legit copy of the game. Your "other" initiative is however a pure example of suicidally bad PR ;-)

I still don’t see what upset you. Their declaration of war against “pirates”?

Though this initiative will be as futile as DRM, at least it wouldn't end up punishing legit players. More acceptable in every way.The suicidal move was the "cover up" part. ***** prudes.

According to the same site you linked, they're trying avoiding people have distortion on torturing a naked woman. That's what happens to the Baronesse in one of the videos. Remember?Well, CDP is rethinking the sex scenes or something.
....yea, no more boobies!!! *mwahahahah...

It's NOT full price; the GOG edition is 10% off the Premium Edition price. And the art book is a considerable amount of additional content, so the edition they're selling is worth more than the other premium editions.

But all this only applies to the preoder of it, right? Buy it afterwards and you’re out of luck. Besides, if I’m not mistaken this edition is missing the pamphlet and a cursed coin. Not to mention that this PDF artbook will probably be all over the Internet. In short: I find the physical package is so much better.

glad that CDPR understands how damn annoying it is to deal with DRM on legit copies of games (I never played Assassins creed 1 or 2 becuase of the stupid online crap)I dont care if your a PC gamer or a Console gamer. but i beleive all PC games should support a controller/ gamepad.i used Xpadder for the Witcher, and prefered it to KBM. I use gamepads becuase my PC is in my livingroom hooked up to my 55" glorious HDTV. I sit on my couch, recline, and have no room for KBM. PLEASE. PLEASE, PLEASE let this game have support for at least the 360 controller....that way i dont have to waste a few hours trying different combos until one feels right.
