CDP, did you accept hush money from MS?

Considering that E3 is a universal event, yet you chose only to promote the Xbox version of W3, I have to admit that I find it 'unusual' that only one version has been actively promoted at such a big event and in such case I find it quite probable, given the circumstances, that you have been pocketing hush money from MS, as it has been widely reported that others have also been doing.

MS tactics in this matter are underhanded and dishonest and I would be disappointed, to the point of ignoring any of their future products, in any company that would participate in such sneaky, slimey untakings, you included.

I hope this isn't the case.

This thread has been hidden for a moment, as there was a decision to be made by the moderators how to treat it in order to avoid flaming.

I am revealing this thread now, leaving it open for a civil discussion.

Really?

Is this before or after my second post was also deleted or the post on Reddit?

Instead of 'ALLOWING' a discussion on the matter (how magnanimous of you), maybe you should just answer the question unless you have something to hide.

Really? Do you have a weak stomach usually?

All I did was ask a question of one dev, where it has been widely reported that other devs have been doing the same.

It's a shame that a request for a bit of truth would cause such an adverse reaction with you.

EDIT..

@CDP, tell you what.. I don't care anymore, I don't like your actions and I don't like your lack of response to, what is given the present circumstances, a reasonable question to be asking. So I'll just not buy any of your future products. I'll have no reason to expect anything from you then and as I will have no more reason to come to your forums, I'm sure you will be happier not having anyone around to ask any questions that you may find awkward.

OK. Let's look at this rationally:

1. Just for the sake of argument, let's assume CDProjekt did cash in some green ones. Would they admit to it on their own forum to an anonymous forum poster?

2. What's so hard to comprehend about this move? Microsoft rewarded CDProjekt with some prime time exposure. On the other hand, CDProjekt announced some Kinect features. Both parties benefit, a win-win situation. But I'd say CDProjekt came out on top.

3. Facts are facts. CDProjekt will be showing TW3 behind closed doors at their own separate event. TW3 is not an XBone exclusive; it will be available on all platforms and not even a timed XBone exclusive has been announced.

No matter how I look at it, your point holds no water.

I would accept money from MS, you know. I have a loan to pay for my education. Unfortunately, the evil MS is not throwing any money my way. If others were to do it, it would be hypocritical for me to criticize. Whatever CDPR is doing concerning business relations, it is for the benefit of their company, they know how to serve their interests better then anybody, and thus it is none of my, or anybody's business.

As a moderator I have no authority to answer questions like this as I am not hired by CD Projekt RED.

I would also like to remind you that the only proper way of discussing moderator decisions is with Keth via PM. That's all I have to say on this matter.

As far as Ive known, marketing for their games never had and influence on the core-artistic-creative drive for the dev. team, so I dont give a flying fuck about it... :p

If they can manage to sell more copies doing this, more power to them, that's my 2 cents. I would be more worried if marketing misrepresented the game, like showing tits and asses all over the place...

Sony conference still hasn't happened, just sayin...

And even if they don't show TW3 there, it won't mean CDPR took money from MS, it would simply mean that MS were willing to showcase TW3 while Sony weren't. I mean, it's possible it happened but... it's also possible it didn't. =\

Care to explain?
I find some merit in Walkers argumentation. Not hugly strange but interesting none the less. CDPRED will probably explain it all during E3 but why not chew over about this a little. :)/>

Perhaps they wanted to show the exclusive XBox content, i.e. the Kinect stuff? Maybe since its such a big event this year with all the new consoles and new technology the time was even shorter. In light if the floppy Xbox reveal, perhaps Microsoft gave them some sort of endorsement equivalent that is not shady in the least. Furthermore as reptile pointed out, the the Sony reveal hasn't happened yet.

They gave the PS4 its lip service a few months ago, didn't they?

Console war shit is meaningless anyway. I'm just happy CDPR are getting this sort of massive exposure, they sure as hell deserve it more than EA's sports rehashes and Call of Duty: Dogs Edition.

Why chew on innuendo and FUD? It tastes like spoiled spuds.

Console wars will result in a closed thread and action against member accounts.

I know we're supposed to be okay with allowing discussion on this forum, but this topic is just weird. The OP is doing nothing but making baseless assumptions without any facts, so what exactly are we supposed to discuss, haha.

I mean, there are wolves in the trailer, and that's close to the sigil of the Starks of Winterfell, so that must mean CDPR is getting money from George RR Martin to promote his books. Right?

Also, OP, I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't find anything controversial in accepting compensation (IF that happened) for having my product featured on some console. Tis how the cookie crumbles.

I really can't see anything CD Projekt did for Microsoft here aside from supporting Kinect and SmartGlass, which are options that can simply be ignored by PC and PS4 owners. If the game is well promoted and you wish to play it on PS4 you simply buy it on PS4. Unless the only source of PS4 lineup for someone is a Microsoft conference :p

Ever since the day they said "the witcher will be for pc and next-gen consoles" i´ve been reading post of people whining about it, that's something i find too immature, i mean, IF it is the case that MS gave money to CDPR for some reason, what the hell? if they come up with a good, mature, non-linear, non-DRM game, why should we, the customers have to care?.
Edit: i´m playing it on PC, so, the only thing i expect its a good performance in my rig

I really don't understand this post '-'
What's the matter? Even if they accepted, it doesn't change a single thing.
