Seriously, still one of my favorite games of all time, really amazing, but going through the wedding quest with Shani was really awkward and made Geralt seem really creepy. I'm not referring to any of the possession scenes, that whole bit was great, im referring to what happens afterwards, when youre Geralt again. I had Geralt romance Yen and I picked all the *just friends* options while talking to shani (without being mean), and never once was there a line where Geralt mentions his relationship with Yen. Not only that he still ended up making out with her, coming off as really creepy honestly. I dont like the idea that you have to treat Shani like shit to avoid this, why not just throw in one line about already being loyal to Yen/Triss? Geralt just seems like a creep to me now, it was very disappointing. Otherwise, really enjoying it. Both antagonists have been highly entertaining, and their banter rivals that of the main game. Would be great to clean up the forced creepy cheating stuff sometime down the road.

Hmm I didn't play that part yet - you cannot refuse her like it was with Keira?
You can refuse to sleep with her, which I did, but Geralt still makes out with her without my input and never mentions Yen or Triss to her at all. In a previous conversation Geralt and Shani clearly mention the death of Radovid, which happens after your romance in the base game, so this is clearly after that. Geralt not mentioning his relationship with Yen and making out with Shani really comes off scummy. I dont think Yen OR Shani would appreciate it if she knew, Geralt deserves a slap in the face.

What is all this?? If you could die any time, killing drowners for a crown thirty a head in some swamp... you takes it where you gets it.

You're a good man for staying true to your romance option.
BTW the sex scene ends in a funny way if you and Shani elect to have a drink right before getting on the boat, for those who haven't seen it.

You obviously never experienced the power of old love... Personally, I think it was handled very well. Sure, they both know it will not go anywhere, but they choose to gift each other this one night of remembrance. I liked it.

...still, it was a bit painful to see how much better this rather short relationship was handled compared to the Triss romance.

Agreed, the Shani romance is better than Triss's lackluster one in every way. It seems they got the feedback and made it better (as expected).

The DLC in general is better than the main game for me (story wise). Its very well written with great characters that have depth and are interesting.
Much better than Act 2+3 and also even better than the Novigrad and Skellige parts of the game. Really only the Baron questline comes close.

I thought it was better than my (limited) experiences with either romance option - not just in the romantic aspect but in the way she was presented as a person.

And yes, definitely.. it was a very well done moment between two former lovers.. I did feel sad that the Geralt I've created through W2/3 is not the one who couldn't commit to her in W1, though, and I couldn't express that to her.

Unfortunately, it is something I expected would happen in the paid expansions, and also that there will be no "Shani ending" added to the game.

Well in my base game my Geralt slept with Keira, kissed Triss then rejected her and then went off into the sunset with Yen. This is on top of all those times gaining EXP at Passiflora, which is like my Geralt's base of operations. So yeah, he's already the biggest douchebag in my Northern Realms. Even in the books, when Geralt was even more deeply madly in love with Yen than the games, he didn't hesitate sleeping with Shani. Maybe she just has some irresistible aura that makes all men forget about their current lovers. I sure think so
:smiling2:

HoS should be merged with main game and Shani turned into a third romance option, imo. <3

I suspect there will be no changes to the main game. So, no new romance ending(s) with DLC character(s), but also no Triss/Yennefer content in patches or DLC.

With a romance so great as Shani - if the next DLC will have a new romance with the same quality and detail....I think nobody would like to have end with Yen or Triss anymore...:p
I am not in that nobody, I will stay with Triss, I didnt liked much Fringilla in book.

Yep, details and quality with Shani was great, especially dance.
