Me too. With Shani was a lot of wonderful moments and it largely because of her main quest goal was "we should have fun". When with T/Y their moments was like "catch small break" during finding Ciri/saving mages/defending Ciri etc.
I'm aware of that, hence "should" and not "must"... but I don't know if I used the proper word (english is not my native language).
At least now players can opt to for It Takes Three to Tango and still have Shani love Geralt no matter what. I like the part where it looked like Geralt was gonna ask her something very personal and important, then ended up asking her to play Gwent. Gwentzone. All romance options after this will be about a girl rejecting Geralt's advances. Assuming its Fringilla in BaW, since Shani's already used the 'our goals and occupations won't allow us to be together' card, I bet she'll use the 'you're a whoring bastard and I can never love you' or 'I'm actually in a serious relationship but since youre here lets have a one night stand' card.
The problem is that she is already in the main quest, and that could conflict with the expansion if it is designed to be playable at any time. It is one of the reasons why HoS does not include quests with any main NPCs. Perhaps someone returns from the previous games (like Cynthia), or it will be an entirely new character.
strangely enough though a full fledged shani romance could work have her leave but with geralt in her heart and if geralt doesn't choose triss or yen boom we get a slide ending were he re meets shani and they live together, could be done just a 2 slides and you would be golden

When we talked with her after wedding quest about her life after events in Vyzima there's such kind of dialogue:
- What you've done after you left Vyzima?
- You mean after you left Vyzima with Triss?
It seems like default option for conversation and option for those who ended up with Triss in TW1.
But, a friend of mine (who also transferred saves all the way since TW1) reported that he didn't get that sarcastic line about Triss, instead of that there was something like:
- You mean after our ways parted?
Anyone can confirm this?

I am on xbox and I got her dialogue about how her and geralt parted ways. I kinda hoped for some dialogue about alvin however None has surfaced
Ay, I can confirm this. I chose Shani in The Witcher, imported a save from Assassins of Kings, which used this data, and saw no mention of Triss in my conversations with Shani in Hearts of Stone.

There is no choice import, in the crypt Vlodimir asks you

If you choose "Cared for Shani deeply once." then it pretends you romanced her in W1.
If you choose "Only ever been friends." it doesn't.
There are some changes based on that.
