CDPR still hiring devs specifically for "The Witcher" - More DLC after season pass?
Just saw the job offers link on the homepage and remembered that gaming magazines often check them to see what the studios are up to.
And indeed, it was interesting. They are still hiring a lot of people for the Witcher (not meaning Battle Arena, that's a seperate section). They specifically look for experts on quests, enviroment, animations and cinematics. Note that some jobs have both the Witcher and Cyberpunk tag, but those haven't.
Considering that those people are offered assistence for moving to Poland and probably need at least 2-3 month from now until they are fully integrated into the team, they couldn't work on the first paid DLC. Do you think they hire people only to work on a single DLC for half a year?
Sure, they could then be transferred to the Cyberpunk team, but if they would literally just work a few months on the witcher, why not both tags? Why not complete a single DLC with the existing team, and letting all newbies work on cyberpunk? Seems easier than to teach them the specifics of the withcer universe just for a few months.
This is pure speculation of course, but maybe there's someone around who knows the industry and can tell us more.
