So, what type of gamer makes up 95% of these TW fans? PC gamers, right?

Therefore, when you claim to have a "big announcement" on the forums, you are addressing the PC fanbase, because we are the only ones here! If the announcement has nothing to do with the PC, guess what - your announcement is irrelevant to 95% of the people you announced it to. Therefore, "big announcement my ass".

If you want evidence for what I am claiming, have a look around this thread. Where are the console fans jumping for joy at their TW1 port? Oh right, they dont exist .

Well let's be fair. Console gamers (apart from in the last month) haven't had a chance to play TW games, so of course they're not hanging around here. Check the (far too many) threads requesting TW2 on PS3.

Saying that...some of us play PC and a console so while I remain about 99% sceptical of this announcement, I'd be happy enough to give CDPR more of my money and get a newish game out of it.

If this is the "A" title they announced some time ago and it's gonna be something small, GOG/STEAM - XBOX LIVE - PSN type - I'm gonna be like "well, not what I expected but more Witcher is always welcome".

But if this means they're gonna be making the whole game from scratch...I'm gonna facepalm so hard that only lesbomancy will be able to put my face into previous state.

I admit, as a Xbox player I'm excited. But truth be told, I don't see the game really reaching new gamers, since I'm not sure that great of a majority prefers the theme of TW1, yet alone the gameplay. But I could be entirely wrong. And personally I'd still hope for something along the lines of an expansion or TW3, or simply the team already starting to put time on working on TW3, since a year already went for the TW2 xbox 'port'.

If somewhat miraculously TW1 will be released this summer, then sure, but late 2012? No thanks.

It would be awesome news if:
1. Rise of the white wolf would have tw2 combat
2. ROTWW would have updated graphics, especially models of some characters
3. ROTWW would be available on pc too

If this is the case and Witcher ROWW will be released, then count me in. Back in the days White Wolf was my MOST anticipated game and when it was canceled, well it was total bummer. I personally like more first Witchers dark and gloomy athmosphere, those monster hunter quests which lacked on part II and so on. Anyways, if this is true and when the preorder possibility is out, I´m there among the first. Eagerly waiting the outcome..

As a PC only gamer, I'd be really disappointed if this'd turn out to be that big announcement, and I don't think the majority of console gamers would be that interested in the game either way, but I guess time will tell...
