CDPR You know Something, You aren't Clueless.

Why can't you just say the fix will be in less than a week, than two weeks, than a month, a month and a half, than two months. Like seriously there is no way you have no clue at all. I'm sure people would be a lot calmer if you stopped with the "No ETA" bullshit. You may not know the exact date and time but I can't believe a company like yours literally has absolutely no clue when it can get a fix to over half of its customers.

Because maybe there's no way to fix it (for now) and if they reveal that the backlash will be huge.

There have been a lot of critics about it, and there's still hope. Imagine if they say something like "sorry we don't know how to fix this, we will need more time" everybody would lose their minds.

It's just easier for them.

This tells you, they need time to fix these issues. :) it's not an easy thing by the sounds of it.

This kind of posting is not productive. I am fully confident they really are working as fast as they can. In fact, I'd almost prefer it if they didn't. Working on something too quickly can lead to mistakes. We need fixes, not more stuff broken.

Not saying they need to hurry just be more transparent about what is happening, but I give up. I'm just gonna start a different game and maybe come back to this one when I finish all the holiday games coming out.

That's what I'm doing. CDPR lost A LOT of points with me after this NG+ mess. It hindered on me the ability to play. If I want to play, I have to throw away 200+ hours of gameplay. Unacceptable. It looks like those private servers of online games with their famous wipes of yore. 'We screwed up. Sorry. Deal with it'. Just no. I live in Brazil, and I paid A LOT for this game. If I could get a refund on it I'd already have done it.

Thing is NG+ was a totally unnecessary addition ppl were clamoring for like it would be some great thing. It only works well with certain types of games. Now they have to account for this whole mode and waste time in it when fixing things.

This game has turned into nothing but an exercise of my patience which for something I paid 60 bucks for is already damn thin. Came out the end of May and it runs worse than it used to? What the hell? I can't finish my second play through or even attempt to do the expansion without wanting to throw the controller across the room every 5 min. The load times are ridiculous now. I may be old fashioned but I remember when shelling out 60 bucks for a game got u a working product on a console. It wasnt that long ago ppl . I stopped PC cuz I couldn't stand tweaking and updating and dll files and temps and frame rates. Now these problems exist on consoles only I can't do a fan thing about it. Gamers have proven over and over again they are horrible consumers that can be taken advantage of. I'm just mad I actually went against my rule of not buying a game when it first comes out. They need about a year after release for a game to work properly nowadays. My first experience with the game was pretty positive (but hindsight may be off) but this game is a joke now and had I bought it recently I'd return it immediately.

In last night's attempt to play this again this is what I experienced.

Bad stuttering and blurry loading during blindingly obvious cut scenes.

Got stuck in a patch of bushes in skellige ...invisible walls.

In the heart of the woods I killed the young ppl and harald lived...walked away and Sven respawned and killed harald.

Noticed closed city is failed for some reason.

Load times of over 60 seconds.

Music not playing where it should.

One of the expansion areas sounds like there's a ton of ppl around , but there isn't.

I'm also constantly noticing the landscape graphics look uglier and more barren than they used to.

This is off t he top of my head. And believe me there was alot more. Will I submit bug reports?? No, I am not your beta tester. Put me on the payroll I'd be happy to make videos of the bugs, replicate them for you and send them in. Anyone can play the game for a few hours and encounter a number of these. You guys know they exist. I don't believe you can fix them though and keep digging yourselves deeper with each attempt. Only reason I keep attempting to finish my second playthrough is cuz I bought the expansion like a fool.

Maybe it was totally unnecessary to you. Many players, myself included, are really enjoying the NG+ mode. Fixed for NG+ are not at all a waste of time in my mind. Please realize that your opinion and priorities aren't the only ones out there (nor the only ones that matter).

If you don't want to submit bug reports or let anyone know it's broken you should have far lower expectations of having a bug-free game. Someone has to help the developers work out bugs. Testing never gets rid of all the bugs. Sometimes changes have unintended/unexpected consequences. If you don't want to help fix it and instead want to add large posts full of emotion, you're actually wasting CDPR's time (while not helping), making you part of the problem.

Mate, I don't mean this to sound condescending, but it will.

I'm on PC, and except for the City Closed II quest (which is a simple fix and not even a gameplay issue) I've had exactly NONE of those issues you listed. And it runs as smooth now on my 980 as it did in May on release. Framerate is pegged @ 60, and now, thanks to 1.10 pop-in is gone. And I sit on my couch and play on a 65 inch plasma TV as well.

The only reason I say this is because you made a point to state why you're not playing on PC anymore.

I'm just sayin.... for you, maybe it's worth it...

Am I the first to notice that the console version has improved ALOT more with each patch. Some minor bugs yes, but not even remotely unplayable. The graphics and framerate are better, very much so. I must have gotten a golden copy of TW3 sent to gamestop from the heavens. At least if you would belive all the crying kids and teenagers from the US that has encountered every possible bug and technical issue that have been reported since the dawn of man. Yet they still keep on playing this piece of shit thats the root of all evil.

Yeah because losing all your items in NG+ doesn't make the game unplayable.

Yeah but they'd never say that. Much easier to blame it all on players using mods instead. They've tried that before. Or stating that something that was broken due to mods isn't their responsibility which means they have absolutely no intention of ever fixing it. But the actual translation to that is:

"Fixing it would require time to decompile too much of the code."
"We don't have a clue where to look for the issue. We wouldn't even know how to fix it if we did find it."
"The issue is far too common for far too many players and therefore we wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole as opposed to going out of their way to fixing issues that are so rare they only affect a small handful of players around the world."

Hey they've already pushed back the release for Blood and Wine, which to me isn't good news. So, theoretically we've got until then for them to release a fix to all the issues created by 1.10 and Hearts of Stone. But I do believe I called this one, didn't I? As for forgetting to add the horse gear to the game when they'd already put in the achievement for it a few weeks before the expansion was released.... Jeez, they don't need me to be critical of them or to call them stupid names. They earn that all by themselves with their rank amateurish way of doing business and maintaining their own game.

So we pay for a game and we're expected to just toss it into the dumpster because we're having issues? Or should we complain about a product that has cost us money, one that we'd like to play without crashes or issues. Yes, you're the one touched by heaven. I pray you never buy a game that gives you such headaches because then you'll probably be bitching and moaning louder than any of us but you'll feel entitled to do so because the game wasn't handed to you free.

Consider yourself lucky and try to be more understanding of others who don't find credit cards just lying on the street and can buy up any game without worrying or caring if they'll run properly because it didn't cost you a cent or not have to worry about issues because you were extremely lucky in not encountering any black screens, crashes to desktop or any of the myriad of other problems that many (MANY) players have experienced.

But poor you who has to trudge through a game without any issues whatsoever. I hope you get to enjoy the full experience with some other game. Then you'll remember not to brag too much about being so blessed when it came to TW3.

As weird as it sounds, this is true. They fix one issue and brake 5 others along with 10 other new issues. So, you're either incompetent or lazy and I'd like to believe it's the latter, even though none of the options are appealing.

Also, about the bug reports, most of these issues have been around since launch, haven't gotten fixed or have only gotten worse with each "patch".

So, y'know, great way to spend 40+ euros and get to beta test your game at the same time, we're truly blessed!

This post saved my day :rofl:Although my NG+ IS unplayable now, this was hilarious. If the fix does not come out this week, I might throw away 300+ hours of gameplay and start from scratch. It breaks my heart but I just can't wait any longer. Maybe I keep one 1.08 save, just in case... Or maybe I wait... I don't know, this is frustrating

Edit: Some time later I decided to start Hearts Of Stone with default Geralt. I keep my old saves (hopefully) safe and play this expansion again when NG+ gets fixed. Wish me luck!

I'm playing on PS4, and to me 1.10 has much smoother performance, particularly noticeable in the previous problem areas. There are weird quirks, like the out-of-focus effect after talking to merchants in Novigrad and more noticeable detail pop-in here and there, also longer load times. But to me this is a good trade-off for a game that is really pushing the limits on the console and is really playing better than it ever has.

But the bugs with NG+ and trophies not popping are very frustrating. I'm a little paranoid about losing my save (I think with good reason), so I back up my saves fairly regularly to another computer. Luckily I had a NG save that I used for NG+ to load so I could play the expansion without fear of something very odd happening. But I know a lot of people didn't do that and hence are pretty much screwed.

My concern is that these bugs are so amateurish. I would expect that someone proud of their work would take some time to make sure such glaring problems didn't come up. Anyone loading up a NG+ on any platform would notice the problem with the DLC immediately. I can understand trophies maybe not popping correctly, that happens in plenty of games, but naked Geralt? There is something wrong with their development and testing process, not to mention that apparently XBOne copies got the wrong version? Now they announce a mod-kit update. Mistakes happen, but they should be falling all over themselves to fix this, and it seems they are very meh on their console customers.

But probably my biggest concern is their release schedule for patches. PC is getting hotfixes for what probably amount to small code corrections (Skellige's most Wanted, the DLC problem), but consoles aren't getting these fixes, we are getting only major updates. I don't know why this is. I've heard it costs them money to send an update to their console customers. It seems that more iterative work would yield better results, but to me this feels like they're cutting corners or even trying to save a buck. I find it hard to believe that fixing DLC or making an NPC die when he hits 0 HP is so very different on PC than console. I don't hold out a lot of hope that a fix will be coming before the next major patch, and who knows how long that will be - apparently no one, not even CDPR.
