Centralised Mod/Plug-in Location

Hi folks,My name is Robin Scott and I am the owner of The Elder Scrolls Nexus. TESNexus is a community-driven site pretty much dedicated to hosting and providing support for Elder Scrolls (Morrowind and Oblivion) modders, hosting over 11,000 files. I am a big fan of The Witcher and the game has been my favourite this year (I started playing late!). I was going to wait for the Enhanced Edition to be released before completing the game but decided against it in the end.I've been keeping up with the news of the Djinni toolset release with anticipation of furthering my Witcher experience but, as far as I'm aware, it has yet to be released. Am I correct? I'm asking because a part of me wants to create a Witcher Nexus for hosting mods and plug-ins provided by the community. Are there any English speaking Witcher fan sites out there that already provide this service to the community?Thank you for any info you can provide and I look forward to getting a bit more active in this community.

hi darkOne,I read in IGN's witcher vault in an interview that cdprojekt want to store all mods here for watch more easily the community and watch popular project. So you'll have to face an IGN's vault (which is THE reference for everyone who come from neverwinter night toolset), and an official vault.Anyway, the more vault we have, the better it is.good luck

Ooo, have you got a link for that by any chance? Will be interesting to see whether they want to monitor the community so they can moderate it, or just so that they can keep an eye on talent.

I'm not personally a big fan of the IGN Vaults or the Gamespy Planet file systems; they always seem a bit clunky which is one of the reasons why I coded my own system for files. I'm more interested in this official vault system, as I don't really wish to "compete" with that sort of system!

the interview is here:http://witchervault.ign.com/View.php?view=Editorials.Detail&id=3the extract you sek is:"[...]Of course we are. Surely we will try out most of the adventures prepared and made available by the players. We are also planning to start up a website on which one will be able to upload his modules. Of course the available modules will be rated and commented. We don't exlude the possibility of granting "quality marks", which will be reserved only for the best adventures. Community is very important to us."maybe IGN is not the top in community website, but you have to face the fact that it stay popular for neverwinter users, and because witcher is based on aurora engine too, you'll probably have to make unexpected effort to promote your site. But I really enjoy what you did for morrowind (sorry don't have played oblivion yet, I prefer wait for a low price edition)!!so keep making good work!!!Cheers
