CH 1 Mikul's Crypt Quest Bug

I've never seen that behaviour before, so i'd be inclined to think you have some sort of corruption of your game file ... or possibly you have some garbage in your data folder which is interfering with the gamedid you do any djinni work before EE ? did you even play this game before EE ? Is this a fresh game installation ?oh, and finally, you may want to check the In-Game Tech forum ... if this is a bug, it's likely been reported and discussed there

Never owned any version of the Witcher before this, it is my first install, have not looked at the editor yet whatsoever, and I have been keeping about 4 different saves going in case of corruption, with all the crashing I was having before. I will definitely post this in the game tech forum though too, just figured since it was chapter one related maybe someone here had the same issue. Hopefully if it is save corruption, it doesnt go back too far, also Im hoping maybe just a game restart, even a computer reboot will do the trick, wont be able to try till later tonight tho. Thanks for the response!

Looked through about every topic I could find on this, but no one else seemed to have this particular problem.. hopefully its not unique to me and someone can offer some advice..Recently bought the enhanced edition, finally got the game stable enough with no more black map/journal bugs or save crashing, and just when I was finally enjoying playing bug free, tried to enter the crypt and except for the HUD, my screen went completely white. Thought it was because I needed a torch or cat potion, so i loaded, made a cat potion, went in, took it.. nothing, still white screen. Tried taking cat potion before entering, got the cut scene where you see the dead girl, when i get control back, white screen, when I tried moving the mouse around I could still target things and then the camera actually somehow found itself outside of the crypt, actually looking at the crypt building, but i was still moving around in the crypt, still being able to target things by looking around, and something down there was attacking me. Anyway, at a loss of what to do, searched the forums but didnt really find anything related to this.. and it's kind of a game halting bug.. was hoping someone else had a similar experience. Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Well, in answer to my own post, the issue seems to be resolved.. restarted my computer, and when I loaded my save I was able to go into the crypt and complete the quest just fine, no white screen to speak of. I did have a smiliar experience later when I was in the Inn however.. I was running around chatting to people and my screen when all black, except for the HUD again, and I could still move and look around.. I know this because as I moved the mouse the bartender's name would come in and out of the middle of my screen. I think my game crashed not to long after that happened though, but after a quick load things were back to normal. Another Inn freezing moment happened where my screen had frozen, but the game had not crashed yet. I was actually able to save, and load the same save and was back in the Inn able to move around again.Knock on wood, nothing super serious has happened to my game to force me to restart like a save corruption or broken quest.. yet.. tho Im considering doing that anyway since this has been my first playthrough, and knowing what I know now, I think I could do a better job spreading out those talent coins. This is pretty awesome, I must say, but wow.. don't think I've ever played anything quite unstable.
