+1 Automatic Sword Sheathing Suggestion...Biges said:I'd like to ask if anyone knows, where can I change the time, before Geralt automatically puts away (holsters?) his sword. Or at least make faster the the drawing of a sword.
i'd go with the never sheath the sword unless I want it, maybe it will look strange in conversations, but i can talk to bad guys with my sword in hand :Starwolf said:Yah, I've noticed that there are more than a few times in the game where Geralt, in the midst of a major combat zone, says to himself "eh, no salamandra/drowners/kikimores/bad guys within 10 feet of me. I think I'll just sheath my sword for the next few seconds. Man, I could use a cold one right now."Personally, I'd wait till the bad guys were at least 100 feet away before I sheathed the danged sword. Ok. Maybe not that far. At least 11 feet away. I keep telling Mr. Geralt that, but he's a lousy listener.![]()
i have no problem to have the sword sheathed in townsbut in the wild... :Starwolf said:That reminds me of Neverwinter Nights (solo play) solution for that one, which was awesome: you could walk around town with a sword in your hand all you want.... but if you tried talking to NPCs that way, they would all make comments about your sword and not want to talk until you put the thing away. I could see something like that (coupled with snarky comments from guards) as being a nice addition to The Witcher![]()
DelightfulMcCoy said:Still somebody thinking about this?I'd love a mod for the exact opposite: sheath immediately instead of that weird rubbery sway. That is so annoying and it is annoying to have to change my sitting position, so I can press TAB all the time. Would be sooo much easier and sooo much less back aches.Sigh, why can't I play this game with a controller, that would be a LOT healthier. :dead:So the ideal solution would be a toggle key for "no sheathing at all" and "immediate scheath".Because that might help a little with the other problem that you have to wait such a long time before you can skin a corpse...
That would be even better than a toggle key, of course! Now all we need is finding someone who CAN - I can't.Biges said:Well, my request is to have a timer. So you would just set the timer to 0![]()

Yep. I dunno about Morrowind, but Oblivion is practically developed to be modded. My Oblivion runs with 200+ mods and I even made a couple small ones myself. Basically, the Witcher is one of those rare games that don't need mods at all... well, until you see that some mods are being made that make the game even better... then you get greedy. ;DBiges said:Editing the Witcher is very, very difficultGood old Morriwind... I even created a taxation system for the game
