Changing the Graphic Card

Hullo fellow gamers!

I'm in need of advice regarding a possible upgrade of my Graphic Card.

This is my actual hardware:

Motherboard: ASRock 890GX Extreme3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965
Graphic Card: 896MB GeForce GTX 260 (Golden Sample)
RAM: 4,00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 668MHz

I usually play The Witcher 2 with this configuration getting from 15 to 35 when I'm lucky fps:

I was browsing around looking at Graphic Cards and my eye slipped on the GTX 560 Ti 1GB GS. It has a price I can afford, it's alot more recent than my card and most of all seems to be a nice upgrade.

The question is, would that be a good choice?
I've seen that many of you posting in this section are very well informed on this kind of matter... I hope someone will be able to advice me!

The GTX 560 Ti is a superb card. If you want it and it is within your budget, I'd see no reason to pass it up.

I'm surprised a 260 isn't doing that well for you: it's still a powerful card and should be capable of everything the game throws at it, less ubersampling.

Well, it is still a good card. But in combat or in heavy 'foliaged' places (chapter 1 and 2) you can see the frame rate lowering quite a bit!
Indoor I get 35 fps or more, unless I'm in dialogues then it drops again.
I can live with it a bit more, but can be a pain in some situations...
I won't probably buy the new card right now... but maybe in a month or two.

Yeah the 560Ti is good, you will see massive performance improvement when you will upgrade from the gtx260.

Hm, very nice site.
Very nice results too, comparing my card to the one I'm interested with... thanks!
