Chapter II help

I've been playing through the witcher enhanced edition and was enjoying it but now i have hit a brick wall.
I'm on chapter 2 I have 9 stones and have eliminated all suspects apart from Leuvaarden.
I need to get 3 salamander brooches for Leuvaarden but i had already sold my brooches to his messenger ages ago.

So is it possible to still get salamander brooches at this stage in the game?
Is there anyway I can cheat some brooches into the game or cheat the quest?
Failing the above has anyone got a save game at a similar point?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I thought the quest was required to continue the story i'll just skip it by talking to the grave digger, thanks for the help.
