I like what Geralt sometimes wears in the TV series. Skip to 5:45. Might be a nice casual clothing option.

I would love to see those eyes at 1:05 in the game as a potion effect.

Dearg Not-so-Ruadhri?

So, I was just rewatching the Sword Of Destiny trailer, and I also just finished a saga re-read the other day, and something jumped out at me: none of the Riders of the Hunt have their trademark red capes. I mean, from what I've understood, we're supposedly going to be dealing with the Riders in physical, not wraith form, so why no red capes? That's why they're called the "Dearg Ruadhri", the "Red Riders", after all. So this leads me to ask: does that mean what we're actually seeing in the trailers are their wraith forms?

I don't think they are in wraith form in the Witcher 3. We have seen CDPR's take on wraiths in Witcher 1&2, and the riders do not look anything like the wraiths.

Footage from the VGX Trailer Eredin is wearing one.

Can't speak for the other members of the Hunt, maybe it's a stylistic change or something. Cape gives Eredin that extra definition and you know he's the "big boss" of the group.

It's actually just a piece of a cape. The rest was torn off, and he just kept the remnant on for some reason.

Well it was Red. I'd say there's a reason and they haven't just forgotten about it.
Even if it's not explained in-game and is merely just a stylistic change for some purpose, I'd say there is reason for it.

Didn't notice about Dandelion's mustache early, but now that you mentioned it, I couldn't help thinking it very annoying.

PS. Maybe you should ask for birthday present from CDPR. XD

Assuming this is truly Yennefer:

I am quite disappointed because I along with several Witcher fans believe Yennefer to be beautiful or better put (excerpt from a source): "The lady of Vengerberg is famous for her beauty". After looking at her from the above picture, her appearance to me is good looking, just fine, not one of those faces that launched a thousand ships. Come to think of it, maybe the beauty standards in Vengerberg isn't high.

If I had to scale their beauty, I would give Yennefer a 6.8/10 and Triss a 9/10

If I had to choose to be with one of them, I'm sorry Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, I will choose Triss because she's much prettier and I got to know her more in Witcher 1 & 2.

I don´t remember exactly from the book, but I think Yennefer is described not as a classis beauty, but just a pretty woman. What makes her different is her strong personality, her intense eyes, her hair, and the fact that she is always sharp dressed (mostly black and white). In that picture her face seems to show a kind expression. I even think that Triss and Yennefer could swap faces, because Triss face looks more determined

No, Yennefer isn't described as "just a pretty woman". She is as stunning as any other sorceress, just somewhat of an unconventional beauty.

This is just perfect! Wasn't all that much that needed to be fixed all in all, but this is infinitely better. Darker hair with slightly more volume, sharper facial-features, slightly paler complexion and a more determined expression on her face. Also this version looks slightly older, which is also appropriate, looks like a woman in her best age, as it were.

I think her cheekbones could be a tad more prominent, but I agree with all your points. Everything about Yen just begs to have a 'sharper' feel which Anor nails really well. But it is interesting how such small tweaks can give such a different feel.

Time for my take
I would agree with most of what the forums are saying. Except for those that can appearantly tell the difference between someone that looks 20 and 27-ish......
To start, I think the main problem is that perhaps the devs are trying to make it more realistic. But I think, its still a fantasy series. The first game captured it rather perfectly. That's why Geralt looked rather freakish, but still a ladies man because of the way he brought himself and he did look good, freakish but not ugly. He also had the windows paint white hair. Playing that game you feel like you're in the fantasy world of the witcher.
Anyway, I too believe that Yen needs a bit more work. Everyone has their own view on her appearance, but #afromane has a beautiful take.
Geralt isn't pale enough compared to others (but yeah how pale can you make a more realistic person).
Also, I gotta say this, devs, Geralt hair is much better than in the witcher 2, maybe its the most realistic white hair we can get. But I've seen people cosplay as sephiroth with white hair. Sephiroth...
Yen's hair looks brown not black. Ciri's hair.... (might be my screen but) looked actually more white than geralt's. But We have to see more.
All in all, I think they should just make the characters look like what's described in the books and create a fantasy world, where a white haired pale monster slayer is bound by destiny with a matryoshka doll called Cirilla. With a chesnut haired witch and a super black haired witch that are just as daunting as is beautiful.... oh and a bard called dandelion

White or Grey Hair Poll

THE POLL IS ABOUT THE WITCHER 3

-Choose "White" if you think that in the last demos Geralt's hair were too grey.
-Choose "Grey" if you are ok with the current hue of demos.

A thread on hair already exists, but, as far as I know, there is no option to enable a poll in an old thread opened by someone else.
If it is indeed possible, proving that I'm a noob, explain me how and kill this thread with fire. If not, then vote.

After voting, express your choice in a post, also stating your preference on brows' and beard color, as well as on the eyes color and their brightness.
If you want, you can explain why you prefer an option over the other.
Thank you!

I have chosen white hair because they fit better a deadly mutant; after all the White Wolf is the White Wolf.

Speaking of brows and beard, I'd like them white as well, with a soft grey grizzling that darkens towards their roots. This way the contrast between hair and beard isn't too strong. Geralt would look even more badass.

Then the iris should be colored with a more vivid yellow/orange/amber, possibly glowing.

Geralt is the white wolf, not the grey wolf. I prefer his design to be similar to W1 when he looked like the inhuman mutant witcher that he is.

It's ok, I''m sure the mod community will have a whiter option available before you know it. ;)
