the romances must be deep and progress throughout the story, and the other character must look for the player, and help him on investigation/combat/ gameplay

Well, you might be. SOME of us are so heavily cyborged, we've replaced our interest in humans with an interest in tic-tacs. Better conversationalists anyway, tic-tacs.

Relationships are not for everyone and in the Dark Future, it's appropriate for them to be tinged with cynicism and mistrust, when they happen at all.

True, even now I've literally witnessed so many people around me get they're lives screwed cause of the fact that they went and had a child (or more) with the wrong person (liars, cheaters, worthless-extra space and unfortunately for one a suicidal one that hung himself in they're shed). So much was this idea of "romance" (which was nothing more, then a sex-life for the poor fools, who got sex confused with love) terrible to me that I just said "fuck it" and ignored women all together (which is fine by me, on account of me being naturally auto-erotic and goal-driven anyways, no way I'm being held back by a clingy, devious woman and a child - I have a personal dream I want to achieve in this very brief life and a girl would just be a distraction/nuisance at the end of the day).

Pfft, remember a friend told me how girls could "take some pressure off you're back", which I found ironic on account of this same guy getting stuck in a apartment building with the second "Baby-Mama's" parents for awhile (and no, it wasn't alright at all, one was a raging alcoholic that cussed people out so much that he got beat up by random people and even his own daughter/friend's girlfriend, while the other one was just a lazy slouch - don't even get me started on the first trainwreck he was with). Which is why I told him that if I wanted to "take some pressure" off of me I'd just work out, browse through the internet, further future-plans or just read a book as usual (and this is crap I had to witness now, couldn't imagine how things would be in a future similar to CP 2020-77).

So yes Sard, you're right in stating that relationships aren't for everyone and that they should depict understandable reasons for why some don't even go for it within CP77. Call me a freak, anti-social, weird and other less then flattery remarks cause at the end of the day I know what's what and will see to it that I succeed where most around me have monumentally failed (could care less honestly, just as long as I get my slice in the end).

@frivolousam @TheOracle7 I understand you, BUT we're talking about da game here, not about your lives, and in the game, the romance/relationship can be a great and deep element that enhances the story and gameplay and the player's character self too, it is an OPTION for the player to start romance or relationship, or not, you have a choice, so, in case the player chooses to start something it must be deep and progress and affect the development/ outcome,

I love cyberpunk and if this is going to be THE Cyberpunk Game, I want love in it :)

No kidding, it isn't about "our" lives, just using that as a example to prove Sard's point further that romances aren't for everyone and that I could definitely see that happening more often in a broken world like CP77's (yet, you're right about romances enhancing stories and how it's our choice to get into one or not, similar to how ME and Dragon Age did them - said nothing about not wanting romances within in the game, just simply suggesting that there will be more in that world who wouldn't want to get involved in that kind of life-style for they're own safety, goals and that it should be depicted as such).

As you've also stated, this is going to be the "cyberpunk game", so it's far from sunshine and rainbows here (people within CP has a world filled with cyberpsychosis, Corporate ran Governments, divided States within the U.S, crazy gangs like the Bozos and Inquisitors, etc - doubt many would want to take a chance like that cause of all the bull, though I don't think it's impossible to achieve either, yet also don't forget that the name of the game is "survival" and that that'd come up more then likely first on the agenda cause of the conditions within CP2020-77).

I did not read all 67 pages but is sex or romance with artificial intelligence going to be a option? or has it been descussed?

We don't know, but it has a bit and in Cyberpunk, AI's don't wander around in bodies. They are vast complex entities limited to the Net. Sex with sexbots has come up, of course. Also no idea, but quite possible.

Maybe over the net? I dunno, AI's are rare in Cyberpunk and finding one with a physical body would be even rarer.. And even if you found one, chances of it being friendly is low..

Yeah, "horrifyingly alien" is more likely.

Note...by alien I mean, "incomprehensible to mere human intellect" not, you know, from Mars.

...probably.

One thing I'm hoping for is a more "realistic" portrayal of world in CP2077.
I'm not saying the Bozos aren't amusing, but does anyone really think such a gang would attract a significant following?
As to corporate run governments, I'm perfectly willing to allow for MAJOR corporate influence in government decisions and policies but outside a local scale does any corp really want to be dealing with road/rail networks, schools, waste disposal, security and police functions, courts of law, and the zillion other services governments provide to keep civilization running (abet, not very well in the world of Cyberpunk)? There's no profit in it, and profit is a corps #1 concern.

I'd say it depends entirely on the AIs goals.
Does it want something from you?
Does it wish to better comprehend human motivations?
Is it curious about the whole "romance" thing?
It might be extremely "friendly" ... with ulterior motives.

Bozos mentioned in the romance discussion... Do I hear a petition a Bozos member as a romanceable option? Imagine the posibilities of those clown noses.

*has one time in the past (during a late night) somehow managed to fall asleep while walking (along a route he was walking twice every day for several months)... and did not wake up until he walked into a tree... a newly planted tree mind you, because it has not been there during the morning when he walked the other direction* XD

I have no idea how that happend, I mean I was really really tired... but I did not know it was possible to fall a sleep as your walking. The only thing I remember was walking a certain road outside the place I was leaving, and the next thing I remember is waking up on the school yard I used to cross... due to walking into that newly planted tree. XD

From the rough location where I last remembered, to the tree, was about a 20-25 minute walk. I did find it funny, still do, but I did realize something worse could have happend. Due to that between where I last remembered and that particular tree there was one train crossing, two roads, and one somewhat major road as well, that I had to cross. Luckily it was during the middle of the night.

I use to doze off, or at least zone out regularly during drill (marching) practice while I was in Boot Camp.
You're ALWAYS tired and it really does eventually get to the point where you respond automatically to commands.

Relationships and sexuality are a very important part of the 'human condition'. In the world of Cyberpunk, these topics are very relevant, especially since the major themes in this game should include how people interact with one another in a technologically advanced future.

I would like to see this aspect of human lives explored in great detail, so that it brings authenticity to the cyberpunk world. Romance is done very carelessly in Bioware games btw.

Romance does have a place in Cyberpunk, just not always in a good way. In CP2020, you can start off already having a girlfriend or a wife, or an ex. I don't see why this shouldn't be implemented in CP77. You should be able to start off with a girlfriend or wife (or ex gf, wife, or dead gf, wife). It adds more backstory for your character. And you should be able to find some love interest in the game. There is always a love interest waiting to turn cyberpsycho on you.

how to

I like when romances are integral part of the main story (should you choose to romance a character). It's nice when your decisions concerning the main story are effected by your choice of LI (including not having one!) and it is so disappointing when the romance is only one or two sidequests which starts with the "new quest" note and finishes with the "quest completed" note! There is no use in quest-like romances and shallow dialogues.

It is also annoying when the game shamelessly pushes you towards one particular LI with making one much more detailed and deeper.

Make no mistake, choosing not to have a LI is also a choice! It also has to have its consequences, the gaming experience shouldn't suffer because of it. Instead it should have its affect later, like the NPC feels hurt and won't help you, stabb you in the back etc.

Other NPCs and the world in general should be aware of your choice regarding romance, and should react accordingly. They should express their concern or happiness over your choice.
