Sardukhar: No, I meant open as in you're probably not going to be forced into choosing one leading lady. But who knows- the book fans make some pretty compelling arguments that Geralt, now that he has his memories back, will only want to be with a certain woman. Maybe the fans will be right.
Wisdom: that's interesting. Seems like the GM can just kill your love interest w/o any chance to save them, that must suck.
Here's my wish for romance in CP 2077: First a complaint- I haven't played a game besides TW games which made this aspect of the game any good. The point of the romance should be to tell a story, not to offer soft core porn or win points with a character by saying the right stuff, like in Mass Effect and Dragon Age games.
I hope the lives of characters have a meaningful impact because of having a relationship with player, but not just "oh the enemies hate so and so because they were seen with Player 1".
It would be interesting if the actions of the love interest are unrestrained, and the love interest lives a life of its own. Please don't make it like Skyrim where the wife/husband is a slave dummy trapped in your house like furniture, and only comes out under the sun when you will it.
In the same vein, the actions of the love interest should be able to impact the player, either positively or negatively.
Personally, I wouldn't mind if there are only 3-4 LIs for the entire game, what's more important is for them to have a story of their own, and be an active force in the game.
So in short, if there is romance in CP 2077, it should be about storytelling.
