Character: Triss Merigold

Triss Merigold – beautiful and talented member of the Sorceress Lodge and the King Foltest Royal Council. Geralt’s friend. It’s her profile, we present today in the CHARACTERS page.

Writing about Triss' scars in the character profile seems kind of weird considering they've been completely left out from the game.

Hey, mind that she's a magician! Sapkowski explained, that Vilgefortz's destroyed eye started to revive after some time etc.

Sorry, but I don't buy that explanation. Triss herself mentioned she would never wear a revealing dress again.

And Geralt supposedly died.Triss is now a member of Sorceress Lodge. Most powerful women in the witcher universe might think of a way to remove scars.

So even if she did indeed heal those scars, then what sense does it make to write that she still bears them?...BTW, was Rayla a member of the Lodge as well? ;)

Strictly speaking, she could be using an illusion spell to hide her scars. A bit like that wizard's assistant who used an illusion to disguise her deformities after triggering a magical trap (in Blood of the Elves).

I'd have prefered if she kept her face from the first game. I hope the voice is the same.

I'd be a huge fan of not starting another thread about faces changing. The description of Triss is great....left some things open that may be revealed in the game. Can't wait.

The description is not only in conflict with Triss' depiction in the game, it's also misleading. Triss was NOT the only mage to survive the battle of Sodden - more than fourteen fought, fourteen died. Triss was thought to be among those fourteen (and her name is on the memorial stone), but it was a mistake, it was another sorceress.

And Yennefer, and a host of other big names.

description seems pretty accurate. when you think about it, though, it does make some sense that she would still bear those scars. for any of you who have seen the movie Avatar, if you remember back to the military man with the long scars going down the side of his head, he said that he could have had them removed if he wanted to, but he decided to keep them because they always reminded him of the dangers out in the wild world of Pandora. with Triss, it could be that their after the same thing (i.e. her keeping the scars as a permanent reminder of her past). also, lest you people forget, she is allergic to magic and it could be that she can't use certain spells lest she risks injuring herself severely. with so many possible variables, the developers probably had a good reason to give her that description and appearance.

The description sounds good, substantively. The English is a little weird, though. Let me know if you'd like me to write you a slightly altered version, with the English cleaned up.

interesting , so the default choice from the witcher 1 is the neutral path, i guess is the better option , but that means that toruviel is dead, x(
