So do we know if triss has the same VA in TW2. If there's a video of her talking, please link me to it.

Sorry, didn't notice your request. Try these for comparison unless you fear spoilers.Prison Break trailer:http://tw2.thewitcher.com/#video/1_1Gamespot gameplay trailer:http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/thewitcher2/video/6268523/the-witcher-2-assassins-of-kings-e3-2010-gameplay-movie-combat?tag=videos%3Btitle%3B12&tag=stitialclk%3Bgamespace

Sounds like it could be the same VA to me. Also sounds a lot better than what she did during TW1. At least the gamestop video. The prison break one sounds different to me. I asked this question in the ask the devs a question thread but he couldn't answer.I'm more inclined to believe the actual in game voice than just the short little trailer. It doesn't seem unlikely they would just have a stand in voice for her during the trailer as it'd be a waste just to bring the actual VA for it.

That would be my guess as well. The VA for the prison-break trailer does a perfectly good job, but she doesn't sound like Triss to me, so I'm glad to hear what sounds like her original VA in the gameplay vids.

I take it this is for the European cover for playboy. The US one is different. there going to be a spread, or is it cover only?

It'll most likely be a one page thing within the issue itself, they've done it for a few years now. It started off like a gimmicky sort of thing but now it actually sells issues they've found (maybe because all the real women in playboy are revolting these days) So they've upgraded game girls to actually being the centrefold sometimes. Nudity warning, obviously:http://www.topgamestv.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/splatterhouse-poster.jpgI must admit I'm impressed playboy is still going too. It used to be a fantastic magazine in decades past, publishing articles by blacklisted political authors and opinions not accepted by the general public. You can find rare stories by Dalton Trumbo and Hunter S Thompson and such in the old issues. Nowadays it's just....yeah.

So according to the ask a dev thread, triss along with geralts other friends have new VAs. Which I think I'm open to. Obviously need to talk to them in game a bit before I decided if I ultimately like the change, but I've no reason to doubt cd projekt at this point.

Thanks for the tip. I just went over and had a look. Not much detail there, but this could be very interesting. Looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Is there any information on the extent of Triss' participation in TW2 story? IMO she was the best character in the original game, albeit very underused. I was hoping we would see a lot more of her in TW2. Valve certainly had the right idea in HL2EP2 where Alyx kept you company during pretty much the entire game.

I dont know (and dont want to know, please!) the precise role of Triss in TW2, but right now she's in A LOT of the screens and scenes we got form prologue and chapter one. The devs have stated that you can choose your companions, so I doubt that Triss will be irreplaceable, but I'm quite sure she will play a big role.

That wouldn't be the hardest decision I've ever had to make....Zoltan: "Ho there Wolf. Come with me and we'll share a drink and talk about Dwarven women!"Triss: "Geralt... come with me and we'll share a night of naked swimming amongst glorious elven ruins, followed by romantic interludes the likes of which you've never imagined."Yeah, sorry Zoltan, I've got other plans.

Wait, so there will be companions in TW2 a la Planescape, Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, etc? That was one of the things that really ticked me off in the original Witcher, as well as games like Divinity where you run around all alone.

I don't think they're companions in the traditional sense. I don't think they follow you around everywhere, but from what I've seen there seems to be quite a few opportunities where you get to bring someone with you.But what do I know.

That's it. In some particular quests they offer you to go with you, and they will be useful no only in the combats. Don't expect regular company as in ME or DA (besides, they are autonomous, you're not controlling them).

Poor Zoltan, he really doesn't stand a chance against Triss here... Luckily, he still has Dandelion to hang out with :)

Zoltan's voice in the witcher 1 was great. I liked Triss' and Dandelion's voices a lot, too. Are you certain they are changed? Too bad :(
