The guide said "Witcher sword" but then again, the guide also refers to both of Geralt's swords as Witcher swords, since in the lore, even the steel swords are special.

On the other hand I feel that it would in fact specify if the sword she wielded was the Gwyhyr or not.

In regards to whether Ciri is a witcher or not, I think Geralt should be the judge of that.

Didn't she kill at least a monster?
..... like Bonhart

Ergo... she's a witcher enough for me :)

Ciri is jealous of any woman as any child is jealous of the women who approach her/his father. She devotes him, he is her saviour, her mentor, her heroe and HER father.

She is not in love, she just loves her father the way he is.

Couldn't have said it better myself. If there is to be any "taking their relationship to the next level" between Geralt and Ciri, it should be for Ciri to actually call Geralt "Father" or "Dad" =) I think she referred to Yen as "Mother" at one point in the books, although I can't remember if it was just in her thoughts or directly to her.

She does refer to Yennefer as mother in direct speech several times. I don't recall her refering to Geralt as father but Geralt did call her daughter at least once IIRC.

And one thing that I forget to mention in regard of Ciri's fencing skills. Sapkowski in Saga had one motive that indicates, that this particular character is very, very good fencer. It was one vs many. Geralt's most memorable moment was Blaviken, Bonhart had fight with Rats, and Ciri had lake and arena.

And yes, it is very interesting, how Ciri developed through all this years. I mean, she had chance to meet Merlin himself. I'm curious if Reds will refer somehow to her psychic abilities. You know, magic, psionics, fencing. *Cough* Character development. *Cough*

Yeah, that's why for me personally there hasn't been an equal to Geralt, he has quite a few moments like that... the Professor and his 2 companions, the Michelet brothers, Blaviken etc.

And I do hope they thought of the same thing regarding Ciri's powers, that they'll at least have a reference to the fact that she's a superpsionic (as Kenna said). There's a lot of cool stuff about Ciri that isn't immediately apparent to most people not familiar with the books, it's a golden opportunity for CDPR. She's not a true witcher but she's pretty kickass.

I have a question.
Now I am serious.
Who do you think would make the best relationship with Ciri? (Male characters)

I wouldn't call her a Witcher, nor something more. Just a very good fencer.

Nars, thanks for expanding my reply to EmperorZorn.

That would be Galahad. She seemed to be quite.. fascinated by his existence.

And then there's Hjalmar. Crach an Craite's son, and future Earl of Skellige. He's in love with her, and I bet that he'll have quite a role in TW3. He was the first new character revealed. :)

Other than that.. I can't think of anyone. That is alive anyway.

I think we're going too off topic here, maybe opening a suitable thread in TW3 section might be ideal. To answer your question, as already well told by @wichat , I warmly, deeply, sincerely, with all my heart HOPE that there want be any sexual encounter with her.... or I'll lose all my respect in CDP x(

You are the player, yes, but you're also Geralt. Her father.

I'm sure it didn't even cross their minds. Bald Geralt in full plate armor with bow would make more sense.

From a romantic point of view. I think the most logical candidate is Crach an Craite's son, Hjalmar. Him and Ciri did fancy eachother when they were younger and he hasn't forgotten her. He was willing to give his life to save her at one point and he knew it was practically pure suicide but he still wanted to help Yennefer.

I'm sure the Lodge would have a candidate as well (assuming they're still operational).

I don't see Galahad traveling back with her to her world but who knows, he seemed quite fascinated with her.

Are you sure about that fact? I was really under the impression that Ciri said that she was in love with a boy from Skellige, when they were young, but I can't remember if it was Hjalmar or someone else. And I could not find the quote in the books, so I've had trouble describing him in that silly thread of mine.

Anyway, I'd be thankful if you could provide some confirmation. :)

That's how I remembered it, might be wrong. Give me a sec. I'll see what I can do.

EDIT
Ok, here goes, hope this pastes well, Conversation between Yenn and Crach:
‘She jumped’, guessed the sorceress.

‘Yes. This small Cinterein could jump like a half-devil. A real lion cub from the blood of the lion. And Hjalmar, in order to not be made a mockery of, had to risk taking a leap over an even longer series of rocks. He risked it. He broke his leg, his arm, four ribs, and smashed his face. The scar will remain with him until death. Hjalmar-SplitLip! And his famous fiancée. Hehe!’

‘Fiancée?’

‘You didn’t know that either? How can you know so much about some things and nothing at all about others? She came to visit him, as he lay recovering from the famous leap. She read to him, talked with him, held hands with him... And if someone entered the room, they both turned as red as radishes. Well, finally Hjalmar told me that they had gotten engaged. I nearly had a stroke. I told the brat I’d arrange an engagement for him, but with a bullwhip! And I was a bit worried because I’d noticed that the lion cub had hot blood. Even when everything went smoothly, she was a daredevil, not to mention a little crazy... Fortunately, Hjalmar was stuck in there for a while, so they couldn’t run off and do anything stupid...’

‘How old were they then?’

‘He was fifteen, she nearly twelve.’

‘Your fears might have been exaggerated a little.’

EDIT2
Improved formatting a bit for the sake of easier readability.

about how Ciri thinks of Geralt i think she does love as more than a father figure but because she also loves Yennefer and knows that geralt sees her as a daughter , soshe is content being the daughter of that trio. there are several times that it is implied that ciri saw geralt as more than just a father figure.

First of all they met pretty late, by then Ciri had sort of a childish romantic ideal of her being destined to geralt.

in blood of elves when triss is sick and geralt is comforting her, Ciri is told by the dwarves that geralt only sees triss as a little sister and doesnt have any romantic interest with her, this upsets Ciri because she realizes that the love geralt has for her is as a daughter.

Finally in something ends, something begins its also implied thats the case by the way ciri is so upset and needs to leave.

We don't accuse real-world daughters of having sexual feelings for their fathers when they are upset by their father's attention to other women or they experience crushes or longings or disappointments in their relationship with their father; these things are all part of normal "psychosexual" development (scare-quotes intentional). Such accusations are just as unfounded when we try to make them against Ciri.

I used to look so deeply into that comment when I first saw the trailer. But when I finally read Lady of the Lake. I honestly just was like: Huh. Guess Duny really loves his daughter and doesn't want to put his porcupine cock in her. That's cool, too.
