Ciri Identity SPOILERS

Question to RED or the ones, allready played the game so far.
how major will the circumstance of the real Identity of Ciri take place in the game?

i'm a bit affraid it will be revealed in the endgame as a big plottwist.
would be a huge disappointment for me, and all the people, knowing the books.

sorry for the bad english.

I'm not sure but I think I saw somewhere that

it's made pretty clear during the dialog with Emhyr (after you leave White Orchard) that Ciri is his daughter.

Isn't that good? So new players know what's up, and book readers won't get a weak 'plot-twist' at the end. (If thats what you can call it...)

Why does everyone cut her name short?

The game and the books do it aswell, so I don't see the problem. And to write in all forum posts: Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon is a bit too long.
And thats without her father's titles, God! Royalty and their names...

Why not? Have you read the books?

That's Royalty for you, they know how to make a hell of long names, which is also a PAIN to look at .

Sorry if you haven't read Lady of the Lake, but you did click on a spoiler in a SPOILER thread...

Now if you have...

... it makes perfect sense, Geralt knows about it so of course they should reference that in the private dialog with Emhyr (and that's probably why it's actually private and not in the throne room like in the SoD trailer).

nope, just at the end of the prologue, I saw a journal entry early in the game, the identity of Ciri will be revealed at the beginning.

I'm more concern about the identity of the wild hunt, a huge plot twist for those who haven't read the books and hard to explain without context.

Yes, it's the conversation when Emhyr asks Geralt to go find Ciri. I would be surprised if it were in the endgame ;)

About the wild hunt, their nature is already revealed at the end of TW2, during the conversation with Letho (when Geralt has his last flashback and recovers all of his memories). Not with as much details as in the book, but then maybe only Ciri know those. She might have told Geralt and Yennefer during their trip together after leaving Vilgefortz's fortress, but I don't think it's ever mentionned. And in TW2 full-memory Geralt really gives the impression that he discovered the truth when fighting them that famous night at the Hanged Man's Tree.

I already know who Ciri is, who her mother is and the father. Geralt basically saved Emhyr back in the day when he was known by a different name....and as payment Geralt invoked the Law of Surprise.

It's not a spoiler to any of the Witcher fans who have read the books before and know their Witcher lore...

Wut.
Codringher and Fenn pretty much openly talk about it in Time of Contempt (I think it was in that book). Emhyr adds to it when the fake Ciri is revealed: he says something like he'd "always recognize his Ciri". It's not extremely obvious, but the clues are there.

But let's not spoil the rest of the book to him. Even with the clues you've cited it doesn't explain HOW it is possible indeed - though one could assemble the various elements but that's stuff that can easily be overlooked or forgotten on a first read (I know I did), particularly if you do not read all the saga at once.

@Starkespada : now you have 2 days to finish that book before the game spoils the ending for you :scold:
