I guess the Skellige style is fitting, with her back story and the location in game, but she'd freeze to death.

Even as a child and a teenager, she has found use and wore armour:

I doubt she'd freeze to death, there are men running around in nothing but their underwear and they seem perfectly fine.

Well, we don't get to see it because the games are entirely from Geralt's perspective.

And Yennefer may be mad at him for dumping her.

:)

Could have a scene where Geralt is listening in on them talking by themselves. This keeps it from his perspective but allows Yennefer and Ciri to talk to just talk to each other. It would be amazing if even once in the game Yennefer referred to Ciri as her daughter.

The biggest issue that we as a team identified with the Triss situation is that the current implementation does not really represent the very core design philosophy we hold dear. Namely, that your choices carry consequences and those consequences WILL present themselves to you.

This gives me hope, because there are several flaws and inconsistencies with Witcher 3's main heroine.

From what I can see on this and other threads, there are issues that cause severe confusion and dissatisfaction with end game, due to inconsistencies with choice and consequence.

1. Make Geralt's answers CLEAR when deciding Ciri's destiny. Please remove Mass Effect dialogues, we want to know the jest and meaning of what we're about to say.

2. Make our choices consistent in regards to consequences. You've made us watch through a forced scene when Geralt steals Ciri's thunder and goes off to fight Imlerith, but you punish us severely for stepping in front of her to confront Philippa. Philippa is 10x more crafty and malicious opponent than Imlerith, are you kidding me?

3. Allow Ciri to be more of an adult and less of a child, and let her show that in her conversations with Geralt and Yen. Let us hear more about her thoughts, maybe a short family conversation between Ciri, Geralt and Yennefer. Especially between Ciri and Yen.

I honestly do think Ciri could be 100% fixed with just a few extra dialogue lines and small tweaks in existing ones. Let's show CDPR we care about Ciri.

Wasnt sure to start with but ended up really liking Ciri and her relationship with Geralt was one of the best parts of the game especially in the final third of the game, made some of the quiet moments they shared really special. Also really happy with my ending for her becoming
Empress Ciri

New DLC brings alternative Ciri outfit, delayed on PC, but live on xbone.

I don't know how I feel about it. It's definitely not an ideal armour, with her torso and arms exposed.
And it's not really blowing me away as an esthetic piece of clothing.

I feel like they should've gone for the armour, like any from this concept art

Would've preferred something flamboyant and colorful to reflect her time with the rats or something more like Geralt's starter armor. I don't hate her default armor, though, so it's not that big of a deal to me.

It's weird seeing people stating how strong-willed Ciri was as a character while she is the exact opposite in the game until the very end. She is that insecure that she even commits suicide if her daddy doesn't always do whatever she expects him to do although she is already a fully grown up woman. The late Ciri in the books was a few years physically younger than Ciri in the game but much more strong-willed and much more mature. Actually being strong-willed was THE core character trait of Ciri in the books. A really strong-willed Ciri wouldn't give a damn what Geralt thinks...

Ciri is easily the second worst written main character in TW3 just behind Eredin imo, sorry...

Ciri's alternate outfit should have showed off even more of her bra. Just to make it even more awkward when Geralt's talking to her and trying not to let his gaze drop down.

I agree to an extent. They did make her strong willed when she decided to avenge Vesemir and kill Imlerith, but then for no reason at all they made Geralt take it from her.

I don't think it's about her being insecure and asking Geralt's permission, as much as Geralt believing in her being an adult. She commits suicide because we didn't allow her to show off her persona to the only person who's opinion she cares about.

But you are correct, Ciri from the late books trumps video game Ciri, and it would immensely increase the quality of Witcher 3 if CDPR made her closer to that person.

I honestly believe this can be done, without turning the whole story upside down. And just like Eredin, she DESERVES a better representation.

One thing I think the game did a good job is managing to show the multifaceted persona of someone who has suffered severe trauma in RL. I know a certain poster disagrees with whether that has anything to do with an RPG's depiction but I really loved how Ciri's personality could go from traumatized, scared, angry, passionate, idealistic, friendly, and more at the drop of a hat. Also, how she's in SEVERE need of a hug.

I think there is no game in rpg genre that manage to make such great relationship between father and daughter. Ciri is simply the most important person in the game, both for Geralt and us, the players. As a book fan im super pleased with having so much dialogue and interaction between Ciri and Geralt. I love every single cutscene with her, specialy the reunion was done really well. CD Project Red, you made my proud. Yes, there are some things that are not so great. There is to little interaction between Yennefer and Ciri, not to mention Triss. Even with this small complain, im amazed how good CDPR made Ciri. She had some really hard times in the books, thats why im glad that finally her story ends well (both witcher and empress ending are for me good).

This is one of the rare cases that i, the player, actually cared really much about a video game character. Yes, it sounds strange, you can make fun of me if you want. I wanted Ciri to succeed in winning against the Wild Hunt. I wanted her story to end well. Maybe its the influence because of the books. I only know one thing, i enjoyed the entire content of Ciri in the game.

Just my 2 cents on the topic.

I agree, For me every single emotional moment in the game was connected to Ciri. In the end the Ciri/Geralt relationship saved the story for me, which is aside from that and some of the "sidestories" like Family Matters or Ladies of the Wood much weaker than the amazing Witcher 2 plot.
