Cirilla in TW3

After having seen the mysterious figure on the artwork for TW3 I couldn't help but
being reminded of Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, the ashblonde "lion cub" of Cintra,
the first female Witcher.

With the Wild Hunt and Nilfgaard being the focus of TW3 it would make sense if
it was her, because she is majorly involved in both of these plots.

Could it be her ?

1.) The figure could be her age.
According to the timeline established by the books and games Ciri should be
around 20-23 years old by now. That is only if her "travels" didn't affect the way she ages.
The mysterious figure looks like he/she was around that age.

2.) The sword of the figure resembles a Witcher sword.
In fact it looks like Geralt carried his steel sword and shared his silver sword with the person.
That must mean the person is very important to Geralt. I can only think of Triss, Yennefer and Ciri.
But then again...

3.) The hair
The ashblonde hair would certainly be Ciri's haircolor. Triss has red hair, Yennefer dark hair.

All these things make me think that it really is Ciri.

What do you think ? Do you have another theory ?
How would Ciri impact TW3 in terms of story/gameplay ?

In my opinion her time and space distorting skills would be an amazing excuse for
CD Projekt Red to include a fast travel option. :p

I have no doubt that this person is indeed Ciri. The reasons you mentioned are pretty solid in my opinion and it just fits.

Also TW3 is Geralt's last adventure, why should Ciri not be part of it?

That's hard to tell, first we still know little about the story of TW3 and second she has some supernatural powers, maybe even too powerful for such a game and his mechanics, if she is an ongoing companion.

She could just teleport Geralt to anywhere he wants, even in another time, and probably as often he wants, that could be really game breaking, if not correctly handled.
Perhaps she helps Geralt every now and then, while she is on her own search for her mummy.

Ciri is a witcher. Witchers believed the true child of surprise will not require mutations :)

THE SWORD OF DESTINY - Something More
“Are all the stories about the law of surprise also legends?”
“All of them. How can one know whether something is chance or destiny?”
“But you, the witchers, you keep looking.”
“We don't stop. But that makes no sense. Nothing makes sense.”
“You believe that a child of providence will safely pass the tests?”
“We believe that such a child would not need to pass the tests.”

abd by tests they are referring to mutations :)

^ That's awesome. Maybe TW4 (if there is one) will feature Ciri as the protagonist.

Is it really out of question forever?
She kinda discarded her own magicial powers, i know, but nobody tried to reactivate it.

Also she used magic to revive Geralt with a little help, so?

Hope she doesn't take too much away from Geralt, this being his swan song i'd like to concentrate on him, and she didn't really appeal to me in the books that much.

Unfortunately, one can not tell that she needed mutations to be a witcher because there is no clear evidence for that as well. The subject is simply open the interpretations and you can not definitely say whether she was or was not a witcher. But it's cool thing is that everyone can see Ciri how they want to

SPOILER:

if i remember correctly triss stoped witchers from giving ciri mutagens cause she had her first " this time in month " and no one has knowledge how female body will react to that....to being witchers u must be mutant, not ordinary man, i mean girl:p:p

kallelinski, i said she lost it , but i dont say she cant found her powers again , hopefully in witchers 3 :p/>:p

Please, call her Ciri : P

I'd say it has to be her - judging by everything we've heard and seen so far, TW3 is going to be a homage to Sapkowski's books. Yennefer is in it, Ciri must be, too.

I bet that is Ciri too there are to many clues for not being her. I am almost 99% sure of it, of course if it turns out, not to be her that would be a disappointment but I can live with that lol

Part of her is not human and no need mutagens, her blood has all what a witcher need to be one of them. Ciri is the last piece of a prophecy and to achieve her fate she must be trained by witchers to be completed. All her sorceresss magic were not essential for that purpose and therefore she had to get rid of it to reach her Destiny (one which Spakwoski has not wirtten yet.... or never).

So, yes, Ciri is a No-Standard-Witcher but she is a Wticher, she feels she belongs to Witcher's group and she always want to be a Witcher.

Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon. Beautiful name.

I haven't read the books but from what I gather that has to be Ciri. Who else can it be? Though the strongest evidence is, though I might be wrong :p, the fact that the character is hidden in the TW3 artwork. Why hide the character unless people already know who it is and want to surround the person in a bit of mystery, get people talking and getting fans hyped up. It's a brilliant move from a marketing point of view. Just a great way of generating some buzz. Even for people who aren't that into the series would probably look at the character and go "huh, who can that mysterious person be?".

If it was a brand new character, there wouldn't really be a reason to hide him/her in robes, would there? So I'd say it's definitely Ciri.

Even wearing a hood has a reason.

Not saying that there isn't a purpose behind the hood. But the framing of the character makes it impossible to see who it is. Their intention was to hide her, if they wanted people to see who the hooded lady is, they could've framed her differently. The hood is incidental. Mise-en-scene is key.

I would not say it,

Therefore, he didn’t see the slim figure that came into to the room from the porch, wearing a leather jacket trimmed in musk, with a hood and scarf hiding her face.

Didn't Ciri get transported to
another dimension with a hint to Camelot
? If it's her, they'll have to make a plot to bring her in somehow.

Yeah, she teleported to England. But the Wild Hunt would be always after her, so maybe they found her there.

Wales, not England. My Welsh in-laws would take offense. The place names are a bit scattered (Dinas Dinlleu is well located, but Caer Dathal is disputed) but generally make the location somewhere down the north slope of Yr Wyddfa (Mt. Snowdon) toward modern Caernarfon.
