Claywich Trader and Barber MIA. Some + and - on Gwent cards.

Hey folks, firstly, thanks for making a facility for giving feedback, before I get into these odd niggles, I just wanted to say thanks for the game, I know you're working hard to refine and fix, and it's greatly appreciated, I'm having a great gaming experience, and just wanted to not moan, but add my observations to the other voices, to try and help where problems might be re-occuring.

With reference, my character is 15th level, and storywise I'm up to Broken Flowers in Novigrad.
I've been having great fun just exploring and doing anything but the main quests, I'm becoming fairly obsessed with Gwent, and therein lies my concerns.

I've saved both the Trader to the east and the Barber to the west of Claywich, and both characters are yet to appear there. I'm told by other players the trader especially will be selling some unique gwent cards, and without his availability trying for the platinum for the game is impossible.

I've reloaded both of the missing person missions and re-done them a couple of times, but still no luck, they never arrive at Claywich
I've meditated several days, looked around Claywich during day and night for spawns at specific times, I've continued playing the game for several hours onwards, checking back every 2 or 3 hours of gametime, but I've yet to see any sighting of barber or trader.

I'm really, really hoping they don't spawn there until I reach further on in the main quest, and I hope that's the case, but if not hopefully it'll be something you can fix or attribute that traders cards to another trader in a future fix.

Also, I understand that there are 3 f***ing infantry gwent cards in the game, but I've now got 4, that players are supposed to start with 2 ballistas, but I only have 1, you're supposed to start with 2 clear weathers, but again I only have 1. Lastly, is the trader supposed to have 2 Albrich cards for purachse at Crows nest? Because again only 1 was available to me.

Thanks again for your time and trouble, aside from a bandit camp icon not greying out after clearing it (the one south of Condyle, and east of the hidden treasure) those are my only issues so far, the minimap sometimes blacks out, but comes back when I stop moving for a second or two.

Everything else i'm having a blast with, 8¬) so congrats on your success, and thanks for trying to smooth these things out for us all.

Nyargh, jinxed myself, now the mini map in the top right is no longer showing interior maps, just the brown colour. Icons are still there, but no map detail. - NOTE Ended up leaving the map and going to white garden, then returning, which corrected it, all the interiors started to show up again.

Also, just finished Broken Flowers, and wasn't awarded any XP. Tried to reload 2 times from an earlier checkpoint, but never got an xp award still. After that I did go and do a gwent match in the Gwent:eek:ld Friends quest and recieved the 25 xp award from that, so maybe Broken Flowers doesn't give you an xp reward? (checked a youtube video of someone else playing it through and it seems they did get xp, because they levelled up, however it seems there was no onscreen notification of the amount given, so I may have had xp, as I didn't make a note of what number I was on, I'll move on a little and keep track of it)

Few more hours, and now I'm 17th level, have done the Get Junior, Matter of life and Death quests, and spotted an exclamation mark in Hierach square.
Head over there, picked up the invite for the Vegelbud races, and then went to the estates to do some racing. However, in spite of re-loading, leaving the map, going to white garden, coming back, riding away for a few minutes and then returning to the quest marker, NOTHING makes the race master appear up on the stands.
I have the marker where he's supposed to be stood, but nothing and no-one to interact with. So I can't initiate the races.

Still no sign on the claywich trader.

Further down the road, and into Act 2, have finished Ugly Baby, No Place like Home, now around the 25th level mark on Death March.
Still no joy on the Barber / Trader at Claywich, no issues thus far in terms of xp, especially after 1.04.

Searching around the Kaer Morhen area, and found a few sidequests, including the Berengars Blade side quest note, but alas no further prompts or chance to talk to Vesemir to progress it further, I've read the note, but nothing else activates. Possibly bugged or is it activation specific?

When doing the To Bait a Forktail quest, had to reload 3 times before the Forktail would run away correctly, first three times, he just rose into the air and started to circle continually out of crossbow range.

Also Missing person(s) mission back on Skellige hasn't completed properly. The Blacksmith on the beach west of Fayrlund was rescued, exited the cage, and said to come see him In Fayrlund for a reward, but again he's yet to arrive there. I've meditated, waited several days, but like the claywich barber / trader he never gets there.

Also could I add my support to the restoring of the gwent tutorial player? I suffered a couple of crashes when attempting to play him like a few other folks so moved on into the story, and now it seems I've missed my chance for the Zoltan Chivay card, that and the 2 uniques I think are held by the claywich trader. I think keeping the tutorial in the game makes sense for people who might be not enjoying / giving gwent a go, and restoring the tutorial / zoltan card reward in the game would hopefully pull people in to what has been otherwise a really enjoyable sub-game. With the tutorial restored, and the claywich issue solved I feel confident for the rest of a platinum run, playing it on Death March, there's not much insentive to try an easy runthrough, as it'd be far from challenging. I hope these are things you might be able to take on board and solve for myself and others in the same boat.

Thanks again for your efforts, all much appreciated. Any further bugs / glitches i'll continue to drop in here. Aside from these, I'm having a blast, the standard of storytelling and acting is great, and the choices suitably stressful. 8¬)

---------- Updated at 04:49 PM ----------

Decided to go back and do some tidying up before progressing with the main quest, and just noticed I got no xp for finishing both Master Armourers and the Archgriffin contract. I've had these on quest log list for a while, but it's still a bit dissapointing. I'm 25th, and the quests were 22nd and 24th so there should have been something for them but definitely no gain whatsoever.

I'm going to push on with another contract and see what happens.

UPDATE:
Went to do the Doors slamming shut contract, and got 20xp for exmining the root, 27xp for defeating the "creature", and then upon returning to Kurt Dysart for payment, the full 240xp was given, so if the xp bug as it still exists it seems to be selective. Again, this has been on my quest log for quite some time too, just like the above, just no idea why nothing for them and this one was fine.

Hope this helps.
