Cockpit Driving Perspective - Colby "Little Mule"

Anytime I drive and I'm in the cockpit view the brightness of the view increases until I can only see white out the front. If I turn my head to the side it disappears until I look out the front again and it will repeat the processes. It's rendered using this vehicle in cockpit mode useless. I've just updated my game, restarted my computer and it's still occurring.

Anybody else have the same experience?

Yup, I get this too, and share your pain. Also noticed it with one of the other Nomad cars.

Very annoying and makes it unusable during the middle of the day in first person (which I prefer).

Seems like it's adaptive lighting issue, possibly because the interior is rather dark and takes up a fair amount of screen, so the game 'helpfully' wacks up the brightness to show it. Could do with a tweak so that, in first person, adaptive brightness only takes the exterior into account.

I'd call it a bug.

I also get a lurch when accelerating with the Mule as well. Speed up to around 45 and then throttle off and let it slow down naturally to around 25-30. Then accelerate gently again. I get a lurch, a brief squeal from tires, and then off she goes again. Very odd....

'Nother bug...?

I noticed it's a bigger factor after coming out of tunnels or shadows into direct sunlight. I guess it's meant to simulate your eye adjusting to the sun, which is odd considering V doesn't have organic eyes.

Has nothing to do with the eyes being organic. Happens with everyday digital cameras as well.

Yep, same for me. This was the first moment I really felt defeated and didn't want to continue, although I really love the game. This is the first of the cars I really want to buy and then this nonsense. Luckily made a save right before buying.
I think it is something related to the respective pc system, because I've seen a video where everything is fine on the inside. I tried it with low, mid and high settings and disabling certain settings but all to no avail, so I think it might be something outside of the game that is incompatible. I'm running on Win7. Any of you on a more recent version with the same problem, so we could exclude the Windows version from being the cause?
