Collecting Gwent Cards

Ok im halfway through the Game and wanted to start collecting the Gwent Cards. But now i realised that there are many Cards that i cant get anymore cause of Quest/Storyprogression.
When i saw that you can get the Card from the Baron even if he isnt available as an Opponent anymore i thought that would be the case for Gwent Cards in General.
Please CDPR Devs cant you just put an NPC into the Game where the Cards that someone missed are buyable? Im really frustrated right now that i cant collect them all. :(

I sort of feel the same way. I was maybe 1/4 of the way through the game and wasn't interested in Gwent. About halfway through, I really got interested in it and liked playing. Now, Can't get those beginner cards. Although, you can get the Baron's from his room.

It would be really easy to get the cards though if you could just wait until they are not available anymore and then just buy them at a vendor.

In my first playthrough I started a bit late with Gwent and so I missed out on several cards as well. But it's only a few cards you really don't get afterwards at all (for example the one during the Vegelbud party...). Besides you have four sets of cards and don't need all of them to be complete.

However if there were to be a shop where you can buy the missing gwent cards that should only appear AFTER playing the gwent tournament. Otherwise it would take the whole fun out of it. And I guess it shouldn't count as an achievement then.

Yeah a Vendor might not be the best Idea. :)
But what about placing the NPCs into a Tavern or House after you missed to play against them in a Quest so that you can play with them? Or just give them a Conversation Option, wherever they are after the Quest.

Only a limited amount of cards are actually missable. See below (no credits to me). Although what's not added in this list is the cards you get from the quest 'old friends' which you start by playing zoltan. Zoltan dissapears after finishing the main game. SO there are like 4 more cards you can't get.

Dumbest damn trophy in a Bronze rating ever. Just so incredibly sad that a game of this lenght is SO handicapped from getting a Plat 100% trophy because of something so meaningless as this. The task is long as hell. Utter confusing, piss poor instruction, missable and completely unaware, no in game direction at all...I've ran through this whole game twice and this is the trophy I need.

Most the vendor Icons do not even show up on the map. Yep, that's right missing until you stumble upon them. No indicator of which you've played either. So a complete bullshit task that some have just gotten lucky to have work out...hence why this low ranking bronze trophy is listed as Ultra Rare still....

Add to the patch list Devs.....

Shouldn't a trophy/achievement actually be a challenge and not complete chapter 1-12?

I have the 195 cards according to more than one site and the quest still didn't trigger sadly.

A challenge is one thing. But something that takes 100 hours. Has missable items, no direction, glitchy shop map icons. Means it was poorly developed and far far to great of a task with to many constant things that could go wrong. It's the eye sore of the game when many are sitting at 99% completion. I did all the missions gone to every Inn, played every one I could. Some now 2 and 3 times. Yet here it sits still not done. No one wants to grind of poor development.

I'll give you glitches but we live in 2015. If you don't like that there's no direction and things are easily missed look it up or buy the guide. That's what makes a challenge.

OP

It meant to be hard. I started a new game all over after I found out how enjoyable GWENT really is and the journey of collecting all cards is so much fun. I think if you miss it (not you personally), then you miss it. The whole point of getting those special cards is earn by beating tough opponents. If you could bypass all the challenges and get the card, that seem unfair and rather pointless actually. Now the whole bringing back NPC so you can play against them and earn their cards, I am not oppose to that idea. I think the best solution is if that is a solution that you do get all the cards but no achievement, I think that fair.

If you mean the card you get from the bloody baron, you have to search his room after the quest "return to crookback bog"

Since you patched the Zoltan card can you add Dandelion to the next patch?
