I'd hope they continue as they always have. No exclusive game content in the Collector's Edition, and DLCs free for everyone.

He might be talking about Witcher 3 type of deal. You know, regular DLC was free, but you need to buy a season pass for expansions. (Which is also sometimes called DLC's.) He's suggestion might be that season pass should be free to people who bought the collectors edition. If that's true, I don't think his suggestion is very unreasonable but highly unlikely. (They didn't do it for Witcher 3 collectors edition and it is more then likely that they won't do it for Cyberpunk 2077)

By the way, I stand behind my collectors edition idea and I also like the idea of Max Tac Badge.

Hm... Collector's Edition... Well, I very much would like a Steelbook, an Artbook and perhaps a map. Similar to Witcher 3.

Also, let me be so bold to upload my box design from last year once more. I'd like the Collector's Edition to have a creative name, and in my opinion the one below fits great. (Click on image to enlarge)

*Forlorn Edition*... I take it you get the reference ;)

I will be honest with you, your box art is not all that good. Front cover is especially bland and architecture doesn't even look all that Cyberpunk'y to me. (Also, any game they would release would be either RP or 18+..

Yes, however we are not talking the validity of the art, but rather the quality.

Wars - art is subjective. I mean, reallly subjective.

In this case, it's topical, pretty thematic and I think fairly cool. I like the black/white contrast. Reminds me of the 2013 book.

I'd toss the "Forlorn Edition" font, though. Too drippy.

Well, I just said my own opinion about the art. But even though art is subjective, there is good and there is bad.

This for example:

I mean, you can still call it art, but you wont hear any sane person say "Wow! This is a million times better than Mona Lisa! I will buy this for a gazillion dollars."

Since "art" has kind of a loose definition, you can call this "art" as well:

It is still art... but since art is subjective, would anyone find it even better than famous paintings? The answer is NO..

Well to be honest the first image you showed is a very good piece of art... I'm sure you could find someone who would pay a lot of money for it. It's kind of the same affect as the Super Mario Bros. movie, in my opinion it's a really good movie it's only when it's looked at in comparison to the game that it gets the negative reputation much like the second Deus Ex game.

As for your second image shown... there are certain very successful artists, Picasso in particular, who make pieces that people will pay millions for that, in my opinion, look like drivel that could easily be bested by a 5 year old with crayons. I guess the point I'm trying to make is as Sard said; art is very subjective, and in the end beauty is in the eyes of the beholder...

You and I both know it is not as simple as that. When it comes to art, majority always wins.

Oh wow, you are so wrong. Literally, everything you said before is wrong. As Sard and EvilWolf and I said, art is subjective. You are not the majority, you are an individual with a unique perspective... To say that art is bad (or good) if the majority of people says so, is so... oh my god. It's so arrogant and wrong. What are you trying to say? That Sardukhar is a moron because he actually likes my creation? Because that is precisley what the undertone of your message is. If just a single person in the world likes a painting, that painting has a right to exist, is a great piece of art, and for that person, as precious as a Picasso or a Rembrandt, perhaps even more than the famous painting... I don't like Picasso, does that mean I need to shut up because majority of people like Picasso? Not it does not. We don't even know wether or not the majority of people actually like Picasso. He's a hyped dead painter whose paintings sell for millions among collectors... But that doesn't mean anything. Same goes for the Mona Lisa, and for any doodle made by a small child... What you are basically saying is, that the item loses its right to exist if the majority of people doesn't like it... and that a painting selling for millions is automatically awesome... and that is so utterly wrong. Art in all of its forms, not just paintings, but literally everything, sculptures, statues, items, landscapes, gardens, houses, complexes, figurines, anything.... is subjective, and thus, always valid. You may not like it, you may not understand what the artist wants to express, wants to say, you may even call it ugly... but it is never bad. Full stop.

And yes... it is that simple. The sooner you realize it, the better.

I never said I was the majority. I like many things majority hates. And don't try to put words into my mouth, it just shows how OHMIGOD I LOVE PONIES
.. While you can find many many people who agrees with you, in practicality it doesn't mean jack squat.

Also Sard... You know I don't think you are a moron.. Insane maybe.. You magnificent pony loving weirdo... :D Thats why we respect you.. And a bit afraid of you.

[Sard Edit: aawww! That's nice. Also have a Pony and a Big Ol Edit. Most everything after accusations, in fact. HINT.]

The observer, obviously.
Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. It's the personal opinion that counts, not that of the masses. If I don't like Picasso and say it's overrated, that's perfectly fine. I will, however, never say that Picasso made bad art. Nor will I say that what a toddler doodles is bad. If a girl is embarrassed because people stare at her in her underwear, it's not because the concensus is that she has to be ashamed. It's because she gives a damn. And that is precisely what you are doing here. You talk of power of the majority, but there is none. There are groups of tastes and everyone is free to take part of any of them. But that doesn't invalidate the others.

As said earlier art is VERY subjective.

Personally I find abstract art totally uninteresting and think any 3-year-old is on par with Picasso.
The Mona Lisa is "nice" but I really don't understand what all the fuss is about.

Because happy happy.

This sure does illustrate the challenge of making a cover, collector's edition or even game that makes everyone happy-ish. Sheesh!

A hardcover art book, the strategy guide and maybe a pair of cyberpunk sunglasses? B) I wouldn't want any action figures seeing as we have character creations, a cool poster oR like how CDPR are releasing the gwent card decks, if you can play cards in cyberpunk 2077 I'd like those cards so I can play whatever the mini game is.

The classics (artbook, soundtrack, map, ect...), a book detailing the lore and most importantly, a useful or wearable object (think TW3 medallion), something that won't just sit there and gather dust, I want something I can "play" with or wear as the massive nerd I am!
